Like he abuses her verbally and wouldn't let her sleep in the same bed with him just because she snores(which she doesn't) so she has to sleep on the floor with a mat, because the couch hurts her back. Ugh I just want him dead sometimes!

My very best friend just left for college a few hours and i'm still crying. I never cry and expecially not in front of people so when I said goodbye I gave her a hug and did'nt cry until i got inside my house. Will she think that I don't care? Am I being a baby? someone earlier posted a question asking "Tell me something about your grandfather that makes you SMILE.?" so I figured I would ask about the Grandmothers..

My grandmother always gave us Smarties candies everytime we saw her. She had them in her cubbords, car, handbag and even her evening gown pockts. To this day, everytime I see or eat Smarties, I think about her. Smarties are also my favorite candies thanks to her.

I lived witht my aunt for almost 2 years and my mom lived in another state. My mom came from that state and took me. In the state of missouri you only have to be 17 to move out of your parents home. So if i wanted to move out i have the choice to move out. I told my friend that wasn't 18 yet to come get me and bring me back to her place to wait until i had transportation to get back with my aunt. My mom is trying to control my life and i really dont want to live with her and if i go back to living with her i know she'll try and fight me like a man. She's hit me in the past over arguements and issues. I want to get rid of her legal rights over me so i can go to school and have a real future. I am only 17 and i want to stay at the high school i have been the three years i've already been. I dont think that it's righjt to take your child away from his senior year andaway from a town that had his life in it.

I was debating with a Muslim friend about the abomination that in the old times Arab girls used to get married as early as 13. Then he asked me: "what would you say is the average age in which girls start having sex in the West?" And went on: "think it this way, isn't it better that they are married instead of just sleeping around from an early age?"

Of course there is no way a 13-year old girl could be ready for a life commitment like marriage, and Arab girls are no longer getting married that young, but I think he has a point in the sleeping around side of it... What do u think?

Hey, I got grounded for lying to my parents. I know, i know...it was an extremely bad choice but i am grounded from everything, the phone, hanging out with friends...even leaving my school campus for lunch with my friends!!! I will be grounded for a MINIMUM of a month according to how and if my 'attitude' improves! I can't take it anymore...it's really beginning to take a toll on me and my bf's relationship and on me and my friends' relationships. I have tried to talk my parents into a lighter sentence but to no avail! To those of you who have been there...How do you deal with it? To parents...why do you ground us if you know we will probably go and do it again? Also parents, would you ground your child just as seriously if they lied to you? If not, what would you do?

My 12 year old step-daughter lives with her mother 4 hrs. from us. We have her for visits. I don't feel she is being taught any kind of responsibility from her mother, and her dad knows it but won't enforce anything when she is here because we have her for such a short time. She's a great kid, and our relationship is good, but she needs more guidance. A tracfone was bought for her a few months ago and it's purpose was to be used only to call here. Her mother often told her no to calling, so this allowed her to call whenever she wants, but she abused her minutes and called people she shouldn't have. My husband is not happy about this, but he bought her another card and has intentions of laying down the law about its usage. i don't think he will. What can i do? Should I stay out of it? I want her to learn to be resposible, but I feel like my hands are tied. If they allow her to be irresponsible, she will only abuse it more as she gets older. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Hey all, so i have a big problem. Me and my bf have been going out for about 4 mo. now and everything has been fine up until about a week ago. The problem is i got grounded for a month by my overly strict parents for lying to them. I can't do anything with him, with friends..nada, zip, zilch. Can't chat on the phone or the comp so i really am grounded. I have a son and i am 20 yrs old, i am in school, have my own car, have a job, nothing about me is anything she has to nag about. But it never fails that they treat me like im still 15! They wont allow me to go out on dates with guys, go to parties, they always ask who im talking to on the phone, where am i going, when am i coming home, they tell me to be home at a certain time, they tell me no i cant go here or there, they dont want me to have a boyfriend, they are always trying to controll every move i make. they want to make all the desicions for me. they try and tell me what to watch, listen, etc. i have tried to talk to them and tell them my point of view that they should lighen up and i have a freakin son! im not a little girl anymore. they wont listen to me and they dont know how to stop. i live with them but pay for eveything i have, own etc. even for my son. There is no real readon why they act like this. only want to feel they can tell me what to do cuz i am thier daughter.
