Family - August 2006

My boyfriend of 10 years wants me to go another disaster of a vacation, driving 3 young boys half way around the u.s to see his mother who doesn't even like me. Thats only half of it, I have to get a new vehicle because he wants to pick up his brother half way there, pay for half the expenses, and I usually cry the whole time i am around his mother because i can't do anything right. Would you go??

I am 34, never married (I have been living with my boyfriend for 5 years) and I do not have any kids. I'm not sure I want to have kids. I love kids but I've never really had the desire to have any of my own. Everyone seems to think that I am terrible for not wanting to raise a child. Am I the only women in the world that is happy just being me, not someones mommy?

How do you deal with losing someone so close to you? He was my solid ground...as a family we were so close we would call eachother everyday and i would go over his house at least 3 times a week...he always had the answers and no matter what i did or how much i let him down...he was always there....i miss him so much...i just dont know how to go on with out him....i have cryed for my father but not how your suppose to when you loose someone so close because i'm trying to be there for my mother...they were married for 30 years and did everything together...i was planning my wedding with him he was suppose to see me in my dress and walk me down the isle...he never got a chance to see his grandchildren and never will...its killing me inside...i cant picture living with out him...i dont know what to do....any advice would help...RIP Daddy...i love you

i have a teen daughter , i just recently found out that my husband talked to her about sex (describing it in detail). I have talked w/him to let him know that that was not acceptable to be telling her in that way. I talked w/ my daughter to let her know that it wasnt ok, the way he was talking to her. I also found out that he was trying to touch her were he shouldnt be. So, i sat down w/ my husband and my daughter and we talked about the situation. so here is my question? I want to try to help my husband find a thearpist to get some help. This is the most difficult thing i ever had to face in my life.

I was molested when i was a kid. ( by my brother he was around 14 and me around 10). growing up it was hard to understand why he would do this. Im in my 30's now. There is so many people out there that have sexual issuses. Obviously, the person who moletsted an innocent child. and now the child who has been molsted has to face sexual issues, and mental. i want to help both

very very long story short- I have a twin brother, who to say it nicely is a loser (lol) We dont talk much, he robbed my house for drug money like 6 years ago, and I didnt talk to him for almost 4 years. He promised he was clean and did his time, so I started talking to him again. *he's my brother and I felt bad for him* So in May he was arrested on a gun charge and a drug charge. (like i said, he is a loser) Anyway, I bailed him out of jail and he promised to pay me back, never did and I stopped speaking to him.

Today I found out that he was sentenced to 20 years in jail (not his first gun charge)

Now would you put all the crap and stealing aside and forgive him?? My husband said that if I let him back into our lives he will divorce me. (my brother also threatened to kill my kids so thats why)

Im torn, I feel horrible that he is locked up, I feel his helplessness, and I am really really sad for him. My mom said Karma comes and kicks you really hard..

what would you do?

Ok Im 16, My Brother Is 17 We live with our parents and they come home from work eveyday and pop open a beer, by 6-7 O'Clock they are waested. Me and my brother can't stand it. They never use to drink this much until our dog dies a few months back, after that we got kicked out of our cabin we had for 16 year, and they use accuses like that. But After 7 Months. We Tried Everything to get them to stop, Pouringf the beer out, now they jus hide it, Asking they to stop normaly, They said if we dont like it get out of the house. My Parents are Really Kool parents, but now they are telling us to make our own dinner clean the whole house and they jus sit around n watch tv. What do i do??

My mom pasted away last year and i take care of my dad, the problem is i have a lot of nephews and nieces and careless brothers and sister whom do absolutely nothing for my father and they are here all the time eating everything i buy make messes all day and never help in anyway and they never leave Ever, now i have spoke to my father several times about this huge problem and asked him to please all go home and just come once in awhile, it's not like there here for him they use his house as a hang out and my siblings only make matters worse. although i took it aponed my self to ask them to leave but the come back is. It's not you house so you don't have a say and my father well he doesn't know how to No..... So my delima is i now want to Move out with my little ones but i feel guilty for leaving him, i take care of him and take care of his meds and i know he needs me but i am stressed out everyday. My mother has never been a mom. She's been a druggy friend. I left her when I was 9, and up until about 6 months ago, she's had an influence on me. We aren't talking now because of her husband, and because she disowned my 13 yr old brother because of his sexuality. She's nothing to me. Do you think it's healthy? I haven't talked to her in about 5 months.

dad gave her an appertunity to memerize vocab instead of writing two pages of bible. she said okay.but school starts at monday and she stareted the dictionary on august.
she said"i finished the dictionary "
and she has been drawing instead of writing.
this morning she has been a todal jerk she made fun of how i looked so itold dad"dad i dont think shes doing her job.i think she needs to write bible again" but dad thought the same.and he told my sister next vaca shell have to write bible.


so shes pissed at me.

So last Friday i got in HUGE trouble with my parents. i don't want to go into much detail, but lets just say i got caught doing something ((no, not having sex or drugs)) that my mom FREAKED over. lets just say it was about 5 in the morning and i was coming back inside and my parents were up. i'm grounded for a month from computer and phone ((i'm currently at school)) and my mom won't let me go to football games or anything. now when they leave to go somewhere they threaten to call the police on me if i leave our property! how can i gain their trust back after this?!

Okay, I have a nephew who's quite a handful with psychological and emotional problems all of his life. But I love the kid and we've always had a close and decent relationship. I just learned he had an account on myspace.com (he told me), which didn't thrill me but it's his choice. Well I finally got around to searching myspace and I found his account.

OMG! He's lied about his age, and his myspace is filled with vulgarity and racial slurs. I was shocked. Am I overreacting?

Should I have a heart-to-heart talk with him about this or is it just what kids today do? Should I ignore it or explain to him why racial slurs and intolerance are wrong? He's never had a lot of friends and he's never "fit in" with kids his age. He's a minor, but not a child any more.

about nothing that is true. She tells about how her kids just treat her so poorly and don't talk to her and if they do talk to her then they want her money. More and MORE I learn about her all she cares about is her money. She wants to be able to have everyone serve her and take care of her financially, companionship wise and it has to be one of her children until she has them bled dry and she spreads rumors about that one and goes on to the next one making all of her own kids hate each other cause they treated mom so horribly. She once lived with us and I was so excited when she moved out.... well now she wants back in. I think the answer will be NO am I wrong in stating that?
