me that my grandma molested him as a child. I started to laugh because I thought he was joking. When I realized he wasn't joking, I was in complete shock. I told him that if she did that to him she could have done it to our father also. Without telling my dad what I knew, I was able to get it out of him that my grandmother had done the same thing to him as a child. Both my brother and father seem to have been able to get over it. Neither of them wants to confront her. I, on the other hand, cannot let it go. We used to be close, but ever since I found out, I feel disgusted by the sight of her. She does not know that I know and probably thinks my dad and bro. were too young to remember anyway. She doesn't understand why I have become cold towards her, and the rest of the family thinks I am being awful to this sweet old lady. I can't even tell her what is bothering me because my dad and bro. don't want it brought up, and it is not my place to confront her.

My brother has been in jail for over a month now and I haven't seen him in about 3 months. While he was tripping out on drugs he tried to stab my mom and he assulted a police officer. As mad as I am for what he did to my mom and what he could have done if she hadn't excaped and called the police, I fear for his saftey in jail and kind of want to visit him just to make sure he's ok. No one has gone to visit him yet. He's a small guy and has never been in toruble with the law before and I know what types of people are in jail. Should I go visit him?

I was given 2 tickets to go see a Wizard of Oz play and I invited my boyfriends 6 year old daughter. When I told people at work who I was bringing, they looked at me weird and just said "oh". I don't see anything wrong with taking her, she's seen the movie before. She's very creative and my boyfriend isn't that cultured so I'm thinking maybe Wizard of Oz today and the ballet tomorrow. Do you think it's ok to take her to the play?

I think these two entities are the root of all evil. Seems like kids are getting more and more unruly, disrespectful, fat and lose all interest in graduating from high school or going to church. The times have definetely changed and what we are putting out there for our kids to see is not helping.

I have very little time left with my 4 year old Grandson. I am trying to find a way to give him a present each Christmas and on his birthday - probably for about 15 years. Is there anyone that has done this before? Where would I have these things stored?

ok well my mom told me the other day that she was going to ask my dad 4 a davorces. Well i was 100 and 10 percent ok with it and to night she told him when i was babbysitting my cusin. He got mad. When i got home my dad when up stairs. My mom said that we were staying at a hotel to night but then she asked if i could go up stairs and see if my dad wanted to talk to her any more. I stayed up atairs and watched tv. When i came down my dad said that he was going to go up stairs and watch tv. I asked what was going on mom said that he promised to go back to aa and tsome thing ealse. S he asked if i would be ok if we stayed here. Itold her that it is ok with me well now that i have had some time to think i have diseid that i do not waint to stay with him beacuse i now that this is not just going to go away. Thia has been going on 4 a long time my mom saying she dose not want to stay with him and then he polls her back. I am yred of it. i do not want to live here but i don't want to bad guy

My ex is getting out of prison soon and he was very abusive ( already asked for advice on that particular question). Anyhow, i need to know where i can move to safely. I was going to move in with my sister but she says wait for about a month or two until her and her boyfriend separate. I dont have time to wait, really need to go now. My father is dead and my mother is from another country so i have no other family here. Where do i go from here. Does anyone know of a good shelter for women with children. What are good peaceful, pleasant cities for raising two small boys, ages 6 and 9. I need results quick.........

i was born and raised in southern california, mainly the san gabriel valley, santa clarita valley and glendale area. i love it here, 90% of my extended family lives here and all my friends are here. however, it is getting to expensive for my immediate family and i and we struggle every month. i suppose we could move out to the boonies like palmdale or ontario where property is cheaper, but those areas are way to far to commute to and from work aside from the fact, those place are extremely boring. we've considered moving to other areas in the nation, but every city we look into just doesn't measure up to socal for us. any suggestions as to what might be comparable areas but not as expensive around the nation, or better yet, anyone know of some inexpensive areas to live in l.a. county that isn't either a really bad area or the boonies? or does and area like this even exist?

hi i was hoping some one could help me with this situation. first i must say you people are great in helping others with issues especially those who's answers really help. i have a family member in prison who has not contacted the family since april 06 all i know is that the person is in muskoka between gravenhurst an bracebridge. how do i find out which correctional facility the person is in. we dont know who the lawyer was and this person do have a mental problem. is there any resource to find out where he is? he has not call and we are worried as his mother is terminally ill with cancer. maybe i can get the names of the prisons in muskoka and write to them any constructive answer will help. thank you all

I'm serious, she lies so much that she even believes her own lies! I have stayed away from her cause of the bad influence she could have on my children. This is someone that got arrested and gave her sisters name! Her sister had to get a lawyer just to clear her own name! Do you think it's wrong for me to keep my kids away from their grandmother?

My grandmother is 96 years old, and she can still walk and everything, but she's getting weaker. We just found out that she has gallstones and we don't know how much longer she's gonna last because she's too old to have a surgery. My mom told me to prepare myself for when she dies, because it's inevitable. But I don't know how to prepare myself because she's been in my life all my sixteen years and I can't imagine how it will be without her. How do I prepare myself for something like this?
