I was given 2 tickets to go see a Wizard of Oz play and I invited my boyfriends 6 year old daughter. When I told people at work who I was bringing, they looked at me weird and just said "oh". I don't see anything wrong with taking her, she's seen the movie before. She's very creative and my boyfriend isn't that cultured so I'm thinking maybe Wizard of Oz today and the ballet tomorrow. Do you think it's ok to take her to the play?

I would take her. It sounds like a good time for the two of you. Unless she is scared of witches then she will be fine and will probably really enjoy herself. Have a good time with her.

We all saw the Wizard of Oz around that age - the witches scared us, and we were fine and then watched it AGAIN. No problem.

If she's seen the movie, the play is no different and I think she'ld like it. Who cares what 'looks' you got from disapproving people, have they met your boyfriends daughter? Probably not and your situation is a case by case basis type of thing depending on the kid so....

She's seen the movie - ask her if she'ld like to go with you to see the play. I think she'ld have a blast. :)

I've been watching Wizard of Oz since WAY before I was six. Unless she is ultra-sensitive to witches and stuff, I wouldn't worry about it. Even my niece, who is very sensitive, loved it, at age 4 (a wee scared of the witch and Wizard, but not too bad).

Take her!! They probably said "oh" cause they thought your boyriend was going--take her--have fun. I'm pretty much wishing I was 6 years old and your boyfriend's daughter!! (by the way---go have lunch or tea afterwards!!)
