absolutely!! especially if they are on welfare and expect tax payers to support their growing families. I also disagree with people on welfare getting more money for each child they have. My parents both worked and didnt get a pay rise everytime they had a child. This made them only have the amount of children they could afford to feed and clothe.

If the parents have made a real and reasonable effort to (at least temporarily) delay pregnancy, I don't think it's fair to judge them as irresponsible. Condoms *do* break, women *do* forget to take their pill sometimes, whatever.
If, however, you've got someone out there who's not making an effort to stop reproducing when they can't afford to take care of the kids they do have, then yes...those people are irresponsible.

Yes I do. I also think that with the world population at 6 Billion that it is irresponsible to have more than one child per person, i.e. two people can have two kids. This would stop population growth, which would also help the environment. Poor people should not be allowed to reproduce. Lazy begets lazy.

yes.
I'd love another child, but we only just afford our mortgage now. Having said that we don't get any support of the state, so maybe if like my neighbour I had six kids and no husband/partner, I could afford a brand new car and two weeks in spain twice a year...
Not that I'm bitter. lol

In 3rd world countries, it is more of a need than they can afford. They need big families to till the land for crops.
in 1st world countries, your question would be relevant.
But there will be two schools of thought; christians (more kids according to god), non-christians ( kids if we can afford it)

certainly yes. it is wrong to have more kids when you cant afford to take care of them, are we not doing injustice. one should control and excercise limitations, especially in this regard, as we are liable to do what our kid need, be it education or any thing else. one should be able to provide atleast basic things for a human existence.
