You should want your wife to be happy. A job doesn't affect you, she loves you for different reasons. Nothing is worst for a marriage than a wife sitting home with nothing to do except to wait on you and the kids. We all have dreams, let her get hers. If her dream is to stay home and be a house wife, that's her choice. But if she does it because thats what you want for her, look out, trouble ahead

I rather her do both.......just like i would go to work during the day and do stuff around the house like fix things when i have the time to do it. What's the sense of her sitting home doing house hold chores that wont require a weeks worth of time when she could contribute to the household's annual income?

These days it takes multiple incomes to support a family but if I had a wife and she wanted to stay at home with the children and we could afford to pull it off then yeah there is nothing wrong with that either.

My two sided answer:
Yes, I would love a man who would allow me to stay home, and do nothing but cook and clean. But it might get boring unless I got to go shopping ALL the time.
Then again, I would prefer to work, and buy my own things.

it would be up to her but it would always be nice to have two incomes, taking care of the house should be a joint affair anyways
maybe once you have kids it would be nice to have someone around the house all the time

depends... if she'd be miserable at home being a housewife, she should go find a job.... if she wants to raise the family first hand, that's fine too.
