My last question concerned my daughter's less intelligent partner. This time it is about his even less intelligent parents. They, his mother in particular, do not approve of his being with my daughter who they consider stuck up and middle class. I think they are afraid of his growing further away from them. He already had - it was my daughter who encouraged him to try and have a relationship with them, especially with the arrival of the baby. But he is not very articulate himself and they cannot really communicate how they feel. It seems the mother always gets emotional and accusative then sulks and my daughter's boyfriend gets hurt. The mother accuses him and my daughter of believing that she and her ways are not good enough for them. She has fallen out with other members of the family, and her neighbours and the father just keeps out of it. My daughter is afraid she'll be a bad (negative) influence on my granddaughter but thinks her partner needs to keep in contact. Advice?

This may seem a bit crazy. However I'm really worry about some of most important people in my life. So I would like any advice or help on what I can do.

-My dad. He was in hopsital with inflammation spleen and liver, he almost died. It was caused by drinking. However he didn't stop drink at all. I am really convinced I saw him for last time two days ago. It was so tough on me. Even though he wasn't around for me very much when I was younger.

-My grandpa. I recently found out from my uncle that my grandpa told him his health is start to going down hill slowly. However I'm too afaird to ask anyone else about this because I don't want to stir up any drama and make things worse.

-My mom. She have cancer not long ago and now it's in remission. However I'm really scare that if something happen, she could easily be gone in less 3 or 4 years. She use to keep lot of things hidden from me until I got in really big trouble at sixteen. So now I don't really know how much info she is

Son, nearly 13, said "Dad's a motherf**ker isn't he mum, otherwise I wouldn't be here" Should I point out that he is wrong because I wasn't a mother before I had him or do I kick the foul-mouthed little bast*rd in the a ss?

My mum says I'm an only child because they thought I was perfect. My dad says it's because they didn't want to make the same mistake twice. Which one is kidding me?

Some of my husband's cousins just arrived at my husband's parents' house unannounced at 9PM last night and are expecting to stay there for the weekend. They drive 8 hours to get there. Don't you think it would be courteous to call or send an e-mail before showing up? They came to our house several months ago and we were out of town for the weekend so no one was home. When I found out, I said, "Give us a call before you come next time." It stresses my mother-in-law out when they just show up but she's too nice a person to say anything to them about it.

I have raised this question before but i have not recvd a good reply so i have presented this in a different way after careful observance of my sis-in-law of 17 and bro-in-law of 12.
My wife is the eldest and we all live in one house owned by my father in law.Now the difficult thing to understand is the behaviour of my sisinlaw and binlaw.
They're very touchy feely and they share lots of secrets by whispering or talking discreetly to each other as if they're lovers and one day the whole thing came up to me and i was traumatised.I was just taking a nap when i found the girl lying on her back on the couch and her bro sitting on the couch and they were watching tv and this made me curious as to what was going on as i cud hear whispers and laughs and giggles from them and suddenly the boy looked at me and quickly i closed my eyes as if sleeping and then he was giggling and whispering to her and in return she too was doing the same thing...this made me mad and curious...WHAT CUD IT BE?

I was fostered (not adopted) by the same family from the age of 2 onwards. My real mother was only allowed to visit me once a year. This has really screwed me up as I never understood why she didn't want to take me with her when she left each time (didn't she love me?) and that I wouldn't see her for another year. This has left me feeling unlovable, useless and with long term depression. It was like having a major rejection again and again and again.

I know now that she did love me and want me but that she wasn't allowed to visit me more often for fear of confusing my emotions.

Has anyone else gone through anything similar?
