I understand your situation ^__^ I have no money on the las mother day too ...
So I think it is a good idea to diy somethings for your mother. May be a beautiful cake? cute heatie cookies? Or use beads to make a elegant homemade necklace for mummy? Or get her your most beautiful photo printed on a puzzle ?
I think your mother don't want you spend too much money....just show her your love..she would be thankful

Give her :
1. A Hug when you meet her
2. A kiss after you say : Happy Belated B'day mom, I love you
3. A nice words like : Thank you for being my mom and give me a chance to see this world .
That is what I always did , and she always cried .
She doesn't need anything really !
If she wants something , I am sure she can get it by her self noneed for you to give it on her birthday ..
SO , Show some respect and LOVE that would be everything !
P.S :
If you have little money you could buy a small cake :)
Good luck :)

Very often, mothers are not very much impressed with materialistic things so get her something she really likes to eat! It always works with my mum and my friend's mums. Get her a yummy chocolate cake or her favourite food dish. And write a little note or letter to accompany her birthday eaterie.

A bunch of flowers and a promise to buy her something decent when you're rich!
Include a note that tells her how much you appreciate and love her. The flowers will die, but the note she will keep forever.

Make her a card and pick her a bunch of daises or dandelions, that will remind her of how much she loved you as a small child.

Write her a little letter expressing your love and deep devotion and she'll appreciate it more than anything else, like all mums do.
