We used to each get a match box and have to stuff as many tiny tiny things in as possible to win. Turn up their fave music loud and dance like crazy, that is great fun for both kids and carer! Go and splash in the puddles if its not too cold, it feels 'naughty' to get wet as a kid so can be great fun- warm bath and hot choc when get back! make lunch- get a pizza base and put out an array of toppings for them to pick- encourage creativity- make pictures or patterns- providing lots of veg means they're more likely to get an xtra portion in too! Play board games- perhaps the little one can be on your team, or perhaps they could be a team together, encourage some sibling supportiveness and get them to win together! Hoope some of those ideas help- have fun!

Take four chairs, such as the ones from your dining table. Put them in a square. Throw a large sheet or blanket over the backs. This makes a tent or a fort. The older one can pretend he or she is camping. The little one might like it too. Give them some pots and a flashlight, pillows, and maybe some treat that they don't ususally get.

Get some good old-fashioned games and teach them how to sit down as a family and play.

How about getting them to help in the kitchen by making their own lunch. May be a little messy but should be fun for them.

Mine always like me wrapping up random household things in newspaper and they have to guess what it is!

Baking is fun too.

Looking forward to other people's answers so that I can use some of theirs too this holiday.
