I question the use of GIVE. Yet you ask what you should do, which is a hopeful sign of character in you.

I suggest Speed, or other things you LIKE,(hardly can one LOVE speed) are of less importance than doing what you can, not strictly to IMPRESS, but impress upon your parents the notion that you are willing to WORK for the bike as a reward.

"Powerful" in this sense suggests you aren't looking for a peddle it yourself bike. If that's the case, I suggest their reasons might be safety related, injury related, even so far as making funeral arrangements related. If POWER happens to relate to a peddle bike, then I suggest it must have limits in what POWER you yourself can expend.

In any case, offer to actually EARN whatever prize it is. Do something to create a sense, in them, that you are responsible, willing to help at the very least, in securing what you want.

No matter the mode of power, get a helmet.

GET A JOB....even if you are a pre-teen. MOW grass, rake leaves do yard work for neighbors...EARN the $$$$$ you will appreciate that expensive bike a lot more if you earn the $$$$ to buy your own.

If you can't do that don't expect that powerful....expensive bike to be bought anywhere else but WAL-MART.....

A good Gary Fisher or other name brand bikes are expensive...YOU want it you earn it! Nothing in life is given for FREE!!! Everything of value has a nice price tag attached!!!

Take an advanced bike course and prove to them that you are responsible and knowledgable about safety on the roads.

If that fails, tell them you are going to join the Forces, and then you can travel very very fast , jumping out of planes and helicopters and learn to ride a very fast motorbike at the same time, behind their backs.

Save half the amount up yourself to prove how determined and serious you are about having this bike, hopefully they will realise its not going to go away and agree to meet you with the other half of the money and give you your speed machine, just be careful when your on it OK.

save for one, work for one this would impress them.. if u r in UK, you should do cct first, build up experience before trying for big bike.. then you depending on age can get a 125, again need to build experience before getting a bigger machine..owning a power full machine and being able to ride it correctly are two different things.. so many young ppl end up hurt on even scooters because they clown around, take care and have fun..

Get a part-time job & say that you will pay some towards it.
This will aslo show some maturity. If too young for a job, maybe do some household chores for extra pocket money?

Your parents have their reasons for NOT getting the bike.Whatever the reasons are,you need to respect.Speed is not good for a child and can be dangerous.IF you want to show them that your responsible for anything, try doing your chores, following their rules, and always use safety when riding any bike.Helmet, knee, elbow pads, etc.

Sit down and have a serious chat. Let them know you are mature, know what your going on about and ask then to give you a chance. Ask them what it would take for you to get it. This shows you really want one. If all else fails, earn it.
