Do you find it icky when family members talk about sex? My cousin just got married and his wife always says that they're not doing it enough. I'm officially grossed out. No, she doesn't talk to him about it, she goes to my mom and talks about it when I'm around. Remember, I'm 14 so, it's really gross to think about your cousin doing it. I can't even stand to know about my parents!! Ugh!! It's really pissing me off. Should I just cope with it, or ask them to stop talking about it while I'm around?

We live far away from town in the middle of nowhere, and I am basically alone. My husband is a trucker and at the moment I am not working, but schooling. There are no kids for her to play with and she is a chatter box. It seems I cannot get anything done or have any quiet time. She has no one to play with but me, but I still need some time to get things done. Anytime I tell her, "Why don't you go and color while mommy does the dishes." or whatever, she starts to cry. She is totally addicted to cartoons, and at my house she does not get to watch them very often. She pouts and cries when I tell her this. She is constantly viaing for my attention and it seems to never be enough. For instance, right now, she is talking and talking to me and I can barely think. Help!

I think I go out of my way to do things for them and then when I expect them to carry on for themselves they do NOTHING!!! I want the best for them but I guess they don't want it for themselves

it is for my husband who is 23 years old, he is a gamer but most likely has all the games he wants already. I dont wanna send regular care package stuff, he will be getting that on a regular basis and will not need any more of it. I am looking for something unique but i cant come up with any good ideas. anything you can think of will help.

O.k. its me again with the issues with my parents. I have talked to a very close friend shes also older and shes trying to help me Im still confused about if i should go or stay because i feel like the dont care for me im not a trouble maker i do what they ask me to do and it just seems as if they dont care and i believe

I have a handicap grandson with only one leg, and a prostectic. He is 4, but due to his handicap, his potty training was delayed. Parents are divorced with joint custody.

One day he wet his pants. Father and new gf took his prostectic off, and made him stand in the corner for 20 min or more one leg. What is your opinion? I ripped my son left and right but he does not see this as abuse. Now I am considering seeing lawyer and how I can get custody, cause they live in fith, both parents use them as pawns, and are told taught to tell lies to cover up things parents are doing. In this case the mother told my grandson it is ok to use your pants cause i dont have time to mess with helping you.

I am so angry, but want to help my grandkids. The problem I am a widowed grandfather, but I have raised 3 kids, only one seems to have strayed.

This is my best friend's 4 year old daughter. She's had an imaginary friend for about a half a year now. She's not very obsessed but my friend says that the friend tells her to do things (NOT BAD THINGS) and helps with her homework. Ok, here's the freaky thing, either she's a genius or is really talking to someone. I'm a middle of the road skeptic but what Im seeing here is .... i don't know ... unbelievable ... see it to believe it. Example, her mom pulled out a couple of math problems from math101.com. She asked Julie (her daughter) to have if she could do this with her imaginary friend. She did it. I laughed, I didn't believe it. Her mom told me to give her a couple of examples. I am an actuarian so I wrote down some minor algebra questions. We went to her and she answered them ALL correctly ... (this was not multiple choice). I asked how she knew this and Julie said that "Alice" her freind always helps. Anyone ever had this happen to them?

Ok long story as short as possible. I left my ex for reasons we will not go into while I was pregnant. I always kept the door open but he chose to never be a part of our daughters life...again for reasons we will not go into right now. I have limited space so I will not go into details but last year I was in contact with him for the first time in five years. It was a disaster. But I moved back to our home area in January and decided to be back in contact with him one last time. I could not find information for him but I found an address for his sister so I wrote to her. That was a couple months ago. Yesterday I got a message from his brother inviting us to a bbq they are having this weekend. I left him a message back but still have not spoken to him but plan on letting him know we will probably be there. The thing is part of me does not know if it is the right thing. Two of my daughters half siblings will be there and I want her to know them...and her family...continued...

my son is 20, has been in and out of jail, loves pain pills, and has a job now(part of his parole)has had said job for 3 months. He does not live with me(i dont like his drug habits). For these 3 months, i have been picking him up from work and taking him home(his dads) daddy takes him, he works a 12 hour shift, and wants me to pick him up at 7:00 am, 2 days one week, and 3 days the next. I take several meds that make me very sleepy, and if i have to get up at 6:00 am to pick him up, I am evil the rest of the day. Personally, i think i have extended myself quite enough, and he needs to be either getting a vehicle(needs to take the drivers test again) or finding a more convenient ride home. Am i being selfish, or am I right?

Dear Abbey (ha!): I am living at home for the summer, and I give my mom a little stipend to help with grocery costs. However, I am unemployed. I would like to take a break for the summer before going back to school (where I have maintained a high GPA, which I mention only to suggest that I am not totally slothful). My mom would like me to get a job.

My mom also makes comments like: "you're my project" (which at first was funny, but has taken a slightly less hilarious glow) and comments on my personal hygiene. She says things like: "you have greasy bangs. You should wash them. Your teeth are gross. Brush them. Clean your room."

It's clear that she has my best interests at hand, but I am at an age where it's become embarrassing that any small lapses in cleanliness or employment are pointed out by my mother.

Should I take it all in stride by trying to get a job and re-furnishing my sense of humor? Or should I tell her to "step outta my bizness, woman?"

He knew she was sick but still made her have more kids in return that made her even sicker.Than left her alone with them knowing she was not ok with being alone with them.It's like he wanted her to.The doctors said she needed meds he said no.They said no more kids because she can't deal with it and he makes her have 2 more.He maybe even more to blame than her.
