Honey, People grieve at their own pace and in their own way. Just let the natural flow of your mind and soul live within you and don't feel guilty about anything at all concerning this death. It is a good thing that you are concerned about your Mom and your Aunts. It appears that you have directed your heart-felt thoughts in the right direction. When a person dies, no matter who they are...there can be so many mixed feelings. Keep your head up and cleave to you Mom and your Aunts. She will need you now, and the darkest cloud has vanished. Everything else will fall into place. *Smile*

There is nothing wrong with that feeling. I am sure your uncle's death has brought back haunting memories and your mom is dealing with that in ways you will never be able to help. As a abused victim of my step dad, i was jubilate when he died. Don't feel guilty, but don't be cold to your mom or aunt. Ask them if you can do something to help them. They will appreciate the offer even if they say there is nothing you can do.

Not at all. There's no way you "should" feel, just don't let the death affect you so much you can't get on with your life; obviously that's not an issue for you. You don't need to feel sad, just be respectful of his soul and the fact that others will be very upset. Comfort your relatives with neutral things like "It must be a big shock to you" or something. Don't be like glad that he died though, I mean it's too bad he didn't turn himself around or something. Pray for the repose of his soul.

No i don't think that your wrong for not feeling any grief or concern for the death of your uncle. If he hurt your sister in a way that is unforgivable than you have every right to feel nothing for this man and feel concern for you family. I hope things get better for you and your family and don't feel bad for feeling the way you do, i would if I were in that situation.

i'm particularly sorry to hearken to about your uncle. What help me relieve the sadness of a lost of a love one is always taking the time at evening to talk along with your love one in heaven. you would possibly want to carry a image of your uncle round so that you comprehend he will always be wiht you. i am hoping this help you.

No. You can't try to feel something if it isn't there. It's obvious that you do feel bad, which shows that you DO care. It's hard losing a relative, even if you weren't close to them (trust me, I know), so just hang in there. It'll be okay.

I think your feelings are just fine. Take care of your mother and aunt.
But if your uncle was physically abusive, you do need to talk to someone; maybe a school counselor?

You should feel exactly how you feel and you have reason to feel that way. Your mum can also feel the way she feels. Don't question yourself, just be as respectful as you can and then let it pass. Please don't feel guilt, it's a totally useless emotion.
