My 13 year old daughter has just told me that she is bisexual. How should I react?

She is not sexually active and is not dating yet. She said she is more into guys but that she is attracted to girls. She said she has felt this way for about two years. I asked her if she could see herself dating and being with a girl and she said yes.

React calmly. She's still your daughter and she needs you. Talk with her and keep your cool. Could she be saying this for the shock value? At least she's still wanting to talk to you about her thoughts. Hang in there!!

Your daughter is only 13. She's still trying to adjust to puberty. I'm sure she's just confused with all her hormones going haywire. It's probably only a phase. I wouldn't worry too much. Has she even started dating?

Well don't over react. Yes it is going to take sometime to adjust but you are going to have to deal with it and try not to treat her different.

try to reason with her, and see if she knows the full meaning of the term, and how did she reach such conclusion, and whether or not have she got the enough experience to decide being so, just use calm voice in loving atmosphere.

Deal with it. You can't change her. Let her be herself. Support her, if you don't, you'll drive her away.
