Are relationships suppossed to have a lot of ups and downs? Like I'll be happy one day with my partner or two, but then they drag me down the next and it's back and forth. I like them too much to let go and I'm not un-happy. I just am somtimes and sometimes I'm not. Are all relationships like this? Anyidea to make it better? PS She's like this sometimes too. and it happens ALOT. Be4 skool it didn't but now it does.

we've been together for a while now, and this year he wanted me to spend christmas eve with him and his family. my parents dont trust us. at all.
they dont want me to go.
and for two years straight he's been coming to OUR family things. but now that he invites me, my parents dont wanna let me go.
they think i'll get raped or some **** like that. which pisses me off.
can anyone help me think of what to tell my parents to convince them to let me go?
i really wanna spend christmas with him.

She, my dad and three siblings did something really bad to me a few months ago. I can't bring myself to forgive them and I even think that this is happening to her because of karma. I disowned them when they betrayed me and I vowed not to have any kind of relationship with them ever again. They have been trying to get in touch with me because my mother is now in the hospital apparently she had an anneurism. I don't care to go see her and I don't care to know what is happening to any of them. I want them to just leave me alone and to stop pretending like nothing happened between us. What they did was really really bad it involved my son and I can't forgive them for it. I just want to pretend like they are already dead. Can anyone on here understand how I feel.

What does it mean when a guy writes this to you at the end of 2 letters?

"Let's definitely raincheck in the weeks ahead... [dates suggestions here] and I will look forward to connecting soon"

A male friend told me he thinks this guy may have a g/f, since he can't commit to anything "now".. but wants to get together in the future? What's your take?

my boyfriend and i work in the same place. ive been told that hes making out with a girl on the low. I asked him if he did do that and he said no shes not his type. I dont think the manager would lie about something like that. he aske if we could take a break because i seem unsure of things but Im not leaving cuz its just so hard to say bye and find someone else....I dont wanna belive the ppl at work over a guy ive been with for about 2 years. i would believe him if he wasnt so overly friendly with girls....I really dont know what to do...have any suggestions?

My parents invite me and my son over for an early christmas along with my brother and his girlfriend and her 3 teenage kids and my Aunt and Uncle. They all were at the house at around 4:30, 5:00 o'clock. I didn't get off work until 5, and was there around 6. When I got there, they had already eaten dinner and were waiting for me so we could open presents. I was deeply hurt because this was suppose to be a "family night celebration" and felt that they should have waited for me before having dinner. I didn't mind if they snacked or ate h'dorvs, but felt that even the simpliest dinner should have waited until I got there. It made me feel left out, like my presence was not that important to them. Someone even suggested opening presents before I got there, but gee, they did wait on that. Am I wrong to feel this way?

At first we were really close but for the last month it's been a different story. I rarely see him and he travels here and there for whatever reason. One min he's in my city the next day he's in another. He raps and has shows and says thats what he's doing but what bothers me the most is that he'll tell me he's going to come see me and he doesn't. This has happened alot lately. He'll say he's coming back to my city later on and he's going to stay with me but he doesn't and he doesn't even call to say he;s not coming. I've told him several times that this bothers be but he keep doing it. The other day it was almost like I had to make him feel bad just so he could come and see me. He didn't come when he said so I called and told him how I felt and he's like Damn ok then meet me ova your house then when he got there before I did he said he was going to leave. my dad says health class is not a good idea becuase kids get curious and then go and do drugs and sex and alcohol. i think (and my step mom agrees) that even though how disturbing it may be and innoing you know the facts and you dont get curiose easier.

I met guy 1st yr in college 4 yrs ago. I like him a lot &he says he likes me. I found out he is on &off wit his gf tho. I was already attached b4 I found about the on/off gf. We said we would be just friend but he know how I feel. We dont have sex but mess around . I'm tired of waiting. He says he and is gf dont get along but he keeps getting back w. her even tho they r always fighting and breaking up. He told me he likes me and I have all the qualities hes looking for. He's still on and off wit her but @ same time is callin me everyday as his "friend". He's gonna graduate in June. I feel hes going to leave my city and never come visit (it will be me going to see him as always). Rt now I know his gf is visiting him @ his apt. We broke up one week ago, her decision. She wants to be friends. says that we can be friends, start from the beginning, and take things slow. She doesn't want to see me right now bc she says i still have feelings and only when i can be her friend we can see each other..

We started out our relationship really fast from the get go, three weeks of knowing each other and have been dating. for 2 months, until last week.

It is so hard to see her as a friend than a gf.
She says she wants to be single, have fun with her friends..

what should i do?
is it the end?
this is really bothering me.

She has been hanging out with her guy friends and will take vacations with them this holiday. She wont even spend Christmas with me, instead it will be with someone else whom she calls a friend, an the unknown gender, due to information, when i spoke with her three days ago. In doing no contact and will try to heal my inner wounds.. hope i will be okay and over her soon. thx for reading.

Okay, so i have a boyfriend of a year and a half. Things were great when we started dating, but then he became controling, some example would be me not being able to hang out with anyone else, he took all of my friends away, im not aloud to talk to many people either. I was stupid and didnt think anything of it at firt but then it got really bad and i missed everyone. I said something to him and it never got resolved, we would always fight! He is an overall mean person. he doesnt care about my opinions or feelings and no matter what, he is always right. But with all that being said, he can be the sweetest thing. I am in love with this guy but i dont know what to do!? My feelings arent as strong anymore. but i feel like if i give up on this relationship it would have been such a waste of emotions and my time. we have asked each other if we should split up and everytime it comes down to it, we can never officially leave each other!! but i kno i dont want to be with him.
what do i do?

Pretty self explanatory. My bf used to live with his friend and his friends gf. His friend kicked him out and shortly after that his friend and gf got into a fight and broke up for about a week. In that time my bf made out with his best friends gf. Now they are getting married but his friend never knew what happened. I think its horrible, he says his friend deserved it for treating her bad and kicking him out. I keep seeing this is some kind of flaw in his character....what do you think? And at the time he was 23 or 24, his friend was 19 and the gf was 19. Just so you all know.

History on my dad: He wasn't around for 7+ years- He is a cokehead and he drinks all day everyday. HE NEVER HELPED OR PAID CHILD SUPORT. HE NEVER TOOK ME TOO SCHOOL AS A KID OR BOUGHT ME ANYTHING FOR SCHOOL. HE HAS NEVER DONE ANYTHING FOR ME.

I was laid off from my job a couple of months ago, and my dad told me that I could move in, while I looked for a new job.( Mother said I could not move in) What I didn't expect was a completly whimped dad.

He does everything for his wife. If she asks for aomething, she gets it. No question asked. Dad and I use too go out too baseball games and hang out, but now she has too be invovled in everything he does??? If she doesn't get her way, she complains and runs upstairs like a baby. If my dad is going too the store and I ask too go, so I can buy my own food, he said yes, then she asks, and I have too stay home.( he has a truck- 2seats) Could you do me a great favor and expalin this realtionship too me? thanks.

Well It first it was me and my sister. Im 15 and my sister is 9. But then we adopted two boys into out family. 15 (Olliver) and A 16 (Cameron) . I love them there great.
My mom and dad.. then had the big D
Later on my mom fell in love with a guy and they got married. and Joy he had 5 boys!. 9 (Justin) , 14(JJ), 15(Travis), 16(Harry), and 18(Steve).
We live with each other and there is enough room for everyone, but we just cant seem to keep te peace.
-Cameron threw a chair at Justin.
-I got detention at school for shoving JJ into a locker..
-Travis and Olvier keep beating each other up.
-My sister Cursed at Justin
-JJ Threw a pineapple at my head!
-Travis keeps playing pranks on my brothers and Me!
Its a disatser. None stop fightthingg.. Help!.
We all love each other, its not all blood and battle all the time but.. i just want to find away for me to get everyone chill before big blow outs haha.

I am going to a wedding this weekend in the Tahoe area. It's going to be cold and snowing. The wedding is indoors in a church. Are pants appropriate? The reception is directly following. I get cold really easily and I don't want to freeze :)
