I am going to a wedding this weekend in the Tahoe area. It's going to be cold and snowing. The wedding is indoors in a church. Are pants appropriate? The reception is directly following. I get cold really easily and I don't want to freeze :)

A nice dress suit (slacks and jacket) would be perfectly acceptable. Many ladies wear them around here when couples get married in the colder months, it still looks lovely.

I'd wear a nice dress with long sleeves. You can get wrap around dresses if you have a look. Even though it is winter, I'd still choose a great colour like blue, red, green or even a stunning shade of pink.

It goes without saying that white is a no-no, as is black. Although, if you chose to take a nice coat to keep you warm when outside, i think black would be fine.

If it is very cold, I'd wear a pair of low boots to keep my feet warm, and either ankle stockings or full length. Also, a pretty scarf not only looks good, but keeps your neck warm as well.

Well I would say wear pants. Most churches allow you to come as you are anyway
