If you know what I mean?

Was it an automatic feeling, or did you consciously decide?

Like suppose I have a great guy friend who has always loved me, but although I like him, and respect him and he is a good friend, I never reciprocated. Now, many people say I should give him a chance.

This is what prompted my question: Do you just *know* or ..... is it a conscious decision. Coz, if I want, I can surely just consciously decide right now, that my friend is the one for me. But this wasn't an *automatic* thought & feeling - if you know what I mean? It was a conscious decision.

There is alway two sides to every story How .would you be to sit there and judge one person before knowing the other persons views on the situation, becouse there seems to be alot of it going on around here .you people who have already brought it this with out any clue to what may be some think so differant then what you have be told ,to me you are insulting your own intelligence so give the other person a break even if you domt know there side of the story ...so for any intelligent answers to this question i would love to hear them :0)

i have had alot of problems with my parents in the past couple of years, i am 15, 16 in june.
i used to smoke and stopped about a month ago, this caused alot of problems between myself and my parents which i understand but i used to always be grounded + didn't have much of a relationship with them but since i have stopped smoking we have been ok...
they are quite strict with me, such as times i have to be in, i have to be in at 10 on a weekend half 10 if i'm lucky, i would love abit longer.
i know i'm their little girl (i have two much older brothers) but i just want them to let go a little bit, i am mature for my age and that isn't just a teenager trying to be big and thinking that i am, i actually am.
i do realise some people have much more strict parents.

a few tips would be appreciated. thanks x

I find this term VERY negative. Aren't we in fact ALL from dysfunctional families? Everyone's parents made mistakes, as did their parents and so on down the line. And - if we ARE all dysfunctional, what could possibly be the definition of a Functional family - because I've never heard THAT term in describing someone's family life?

Ok, I have known her for about 6 years but now I feel uncomfortable around her. Her mom was diagnosed with a life threatning blood disease, and couldn't talk for about two weeks( her throat almost was swollen shut) and almost died. While she was in the hospital we stuck together...but now that she has been out of the hospital and is getting better I feel wierd around her. They always thought church was boring but now they go and believe, and she doesn't listen to our regular bands anymore, but seems totally different and I feel awkward. I understand all the change and accept it, but I have had 4 of my grandparents die in a year and she barely offered and sympathy. When I told this to my other friends they helped me. I am soooo confused. We are really close, but I feel as if we are spliting apart. Help anyone?

My GF doesn't care if I talk to girls. But she knows that I think a girl at work is hot. I would dump my GF if I knew Tia would go out with me. When my GF had the day off, I went to lunch with Tia. She isn't even interested in me. She's a tease. She is 2 mos pregnant and has man problems. I like being around her. I hardly ever have sex with my GF because I think about being with Tia. She has tig o bitties. All the guys want her. I don't want a relationship from her, tho. My GF knows all this. When my GF told me to watch what I say and do around Tia so that the wrong impression isn't made, I told her that if she didn't shut the F, I would dump her for Tia. Needless to say, if my GF found out I went to lunch with Tia, she would be on my butt about it. I am not married or commited so I can do whatever I want. And I didn't cheat. So I don't feel like I should have to tell my GF anything or defend myself should she ask me about it. Any advice, bros?

So, what's your take on this subject? I don't care about people's ethnic backgrounds, the only thing I want is someone who I can get along with, have a great time with and who will treat me with respect. Personally, all my relationships have been with guys belonging to different races. I am latina and have always dated white guys but right now I'm dating an Asian man. We belong to a very diverse circle of friends and for some reason a few of them are not too happy about our relationship (especially the latin ones), If you are in an interracial relationship what are some of the obstacles that you've had to overcome? Im 20. Ive been seeing a girl for almost three months. She told me early on that she wasnt ready for a relationship because she just got out of a long off and on bad relationship. I recently had a messy break up, over a missunderstanding. Ever since iv'e tried to keep my distance, but being friends with my friends he joins us, and always flirts with the other girls. Its really annoying, but then he always tries to get my attention, or looks at me. If i don't respond iv'e noticed he will flirt worse.

He always looks at me aswell even in an exam, its confusing because i don't know what's happening?

I hate my dad so much. He's an egotistic, drunken b****** who needs to get a life. He abuses me when he thinks I've done something wrong. Yesterday, I missed my bus, so he started screaming at me saying that I'm horrible, stupid, lazy, that I should never be alive. I hate his guts.
I went to my friend's house to hang out, and he came to pick me up. I asked him if I could sleepover. He flipped out and told me no on the phone. Then when I got in his car, he started building up his anger toward me by reminding himself how worthless I am. He brought up stuff from 2-3 weeks ago, little things that pointed towards how lazy I am. He got so angry he grabbed my wrist and started twisting it and yelling. When we got out, he started kicking and hitting me. I had not said a word. He supplied all of them.
I yelled at him, "what did I do wrong!???" That lead to more troubles. I cried that night for hours that night. My question is...next time should I run and lock myself in a room in the house?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but it's been bugging me all day!!!

I don't have children so I don't know how hard it is either.

I'm friends/acquaintances with the people downstairs. They're cool & friendly, but I don't see them enough to really say we're friends yet. But I've chilled in their home, they're so nice and each time I'm invited in their home their son (age 5/6?) gets so ticked off. He gives his mom a look like "get her out of here" and I'll be talking to them and he screams "Bye Jodie!" like - ok, leave now.

Today I was invited in at first he was fine. Then he pulled the "Bye Jodie!" thing again and 5 minutes later was "Do you live here now? Why don't you just go home?!" - The parents laughed but I felt uncomfortable. Rather then them saying he was being rude the father followed him as he flew into a hissy in the other room without any sign of what he did was wrong.

Should I say something to them? Their child is really rude to me stupidly it hurts my feelings!

Not sure if you can help but here goes, I'm currently separated from my partner Andrew as we had a big fall out last year and have not got back together yet though we both still speak regularly. I have been going out with the girls quite a bit and have got close to a friends sister who has helped me during my separation. Geri is really kind and thoughtful and we have a good laugh about men when out together. She is a few years older than me and has been there done it etc and while we out one night suggested I have a change from men and try a relationship with another women. She said she has tried it and it was great fun even though she is married with a little girl. I just laughed at the suggestion but Ive been thinking about it alot recently. I am curious about other women but am terrified I will become a lesbian and never get back with Andy. Thats my dilemma and I wonder if you can give me some advice.
