My roomate and I are having a serious debate about this and really want your opinions. Let's just say that everything else was equal,(financial status,opportunity,emotional balance, etc.). Which is more likely to cheat?

OK men are more likely to cheat sexually because it tends to be less emotional for them, therefore more likely to have a one night stand. Women are more likely to cheat emotionally, such as feelings and what not....tends to be a more serious affair. Although, as far as reactions to finding out your partner is cheating men tend to get more upset if he finds his partner in bed with another man and women tend to get upset if they find their partner in an emotional affair. It all leads back to the gene pool...men spread their seeds and women want a relationship and partner.

Non-sequitur. Stereotypically it's the man, but then why does America think Desperate Housewives is interesting? Seriously it's dependent on who's not committed and who's more likely to take a risk outside the relationship. That's not gender specific.
If you ask me directly it's the woman.

For most kinds of heterosexual behavior, the answer is:
"Approximately equal, because it takes one of each sex."
That said, men are more likely to be with prostitutes than women are.
But when it comes to "real" relationships, the numbers almost have to be close.

Men, because most women, will be into it for love, and not sex... some women will cheat, only if her man cheat first, then it's pay back, will make her do it...

That's a really hard question because it depends on the person and their personality. Someone who is quiet and kind will be the most loyal, I can tell you that. There is no way to knowbecause anything could happen, sorry I couldn't be of anymore help.

It is the person who is not getting what they need in the relationship, male or female doesn't really matter. It happens because of lack of something, but always starts with lack of communication.

It depends...men want variety, so if they're not getting what they want, then they tend to move on to the next person. Women would cheat if they're not happy in a relationship. (e.g. They're not being treated right.)

The guy. Girls tend to be more loyal in a relationship than a guy. However, that does not mean that a girl would never cheat, just that guys are more likely to.

i really do not know. at first thought, i would say guys, but when guys cheat everyone talks about it. however when a girl cheats, the guy is too stuck up in his ego to let anyone know that SHE screwed HIM over. which tends to have them sayin "ohh, yeah i dumped her," or "yeah it didn't work out," .
anyways, even taking that in2 consideration, i still think a guy is more likely to cheat.....
