ok so heres the deal, my boyfriend and i have been going out for 2 1/2 years, and this past week i have felt very distant from him. we have been arguing some - well i wanna do something special for him to get us close again. so i was thinking while he is at work i could figure out a little something. i was thinking making dinner (candle light corny or not?), maybe watching a movie (whats a good romantic comedy? or a movie u think would go good for this?) and i having some dessert too. what do u think of the idea? anything u would change or add? any stories to share or advice?

Sometimes when I am alone (at work, out shopping, etc.) I wonder what it would be like if I just didn't go home. I wonder how it would feel to just keep driving past the house until I felt like stopping. I wonder what he would do without me there when he gets home from work every day. I wonder what I could do on my own. Not forever. Just for a little while.
But I always go home and do the things a good little wife is suppossed to do with no help and very little thanks.

Has anyone else ever felt this way and how did you get through it?

So I work with a sweet 22 year old woman who I've been having lunch with for about a year now. We talk almost every night over the phone, and I taken her out for dinner a few times.

I, like you, have always thought the age difference was too much.

But we are where we are now.

I think I have to proceed with this. I tried "not going there", but it's become virtually impossible at this point. She wants to get married, and other than age, I can't think of any other reason why we shouldn't.

If you want to knock some sense into me, now is your chance.

This kid who ive never seen in my life, no idea who he is, what his name is or anything has something against me. The other day he blatantly banged into me and every time I pass him in the hallway he calls over his shoulder P**** or B**** and does a little jeering smirk. I thought he was kidding at first but when I realized he wasnt I started to shake in anger. Idk what he has against me but after the first few times its a serious knock on my pride and self-esteem and i feel weak and vulnerable when I let it go. Im a senior in Highschool and I dont really want to get suspended before i start applying to college but I have a hard time letting it go now that he is obviously disrespecting me. Any advice or should I violently beat him down and get detained?

i love this girl at my school but she has a bf. she has said she likes me but she will not leave her boyfriend just becausee of that. we used to get along so well and she used to complain about her bf and how she would want to be with me but will wait till after his birthday and stuff. now she is becoming more distant and avoiding every me every time i say i love you or something like that. my friends have all told me to tell her to decide between me and him but im worried that she will not pick me and then think less of me and there will be no chance. but she is leaving to go to uni at the end of the summer next year so i will probably never see her again =( i really want to be with her, i love her so much

I married the wrong person. Then...soon I met another man, on-line. He came to see me. I fell in love. I left my husband on the same day and my country after a month. I tried my best to give my swedish-american sweetheart both freedom and affection. We've always been very open to each other. I said "I love you" and he that he will cheat on me because he is not ready yet. That I was almost perfect and he considers spending very long time with me once he is more stable. We wouldn't separate if I didn't have to return. He suggested it's the best to separate...for a while. I know he is honest. What should I do? I wasn't a challenge. He values liberty and is young (28). I am only 23 and I have 3 months ahead of me with No contact between us, whatsoever. What would you do? Would you hold on to someone both sad ("I miss you") and indecisive or would you let go?

Fellas, let me ask you a question. If you bought your girl a gift and you bought one for yourself would you think she'd think less of the gift if you had the exact same thing? Case in point: Me and my girl are both on the same cell phone carrier. Ever year or so we upgrade cell phones to the newest models. I bought both one year and she bought both the next year. This year we looking at the Treo 680. We both liked that phone and wanted one. My girl's birthday is the 9th of Dec and she's the type to expect two gifts. One for her b-day and one on Christmas. Ok, I recently came into some money, not a lot but enough to do some things with. I ordered the phones today but I feel like she's not gonna like the cell phone because I got the exact same phone. These phones were over $330 each. Is she being ungrateful about me also getting the same cell phone? Is she wrong to expect two gifts in Dec for her bithday and then a few weeks later for Christmas?

I've gotten into arguments with my husband and his guy friends about driving drunk, they can do it on their own time but when they are driving me or my husband I don't want them to be under the influence!

I hate that I sound like a b*tch when I bring it up but sorry I don't want to leave my children with no mother or father! Everytime I want to decide who will be the designated driver the guys are like "oh come on..."

Am I wrong?

I've been acquainted with her for about 8 years, really started talking and such this year, and i dont want to ruin a young friendship if she doesnt like me? wont it be awkward after i ask, if she says no? I also know her brother, to add to the whole 'awkward' feeling...fun? Not really.

...Oh, did i mention i cant call/ email/ write because her mom is super overprotective? All avenues seem blocked, but i dont want to give up? Starting at the same college as her next semester, and going skating w/ youth group (that shes in) on the 26th...best time to tell her, and how? sorry for the length. =/

Any help greatly appreciated. If you need more details, tell me. =)

Im a very funny guy and im friends with all the hotties in our social circle. I dont think they want to date me tho? Im quite fat and have a big nose and some hairloss already- im only22! How do i make the transition from mate to boyfriend? I just dont know where to start? Also its gonna be awkward if they reject me(one girl im thinking of in particular) I look quite mean im 6'3, big built and have a no.1 buzz cut all over! I just think she is soo stunning would she want an overweight gorilla like me hanging around? The other day i heard her come in the house i share with my mates and ask where i was? Does that mean she DEFINITELY likes me! Ive never had a girlfriend, i asked a couple on dates in school but they turned me down and have only kissed girls when drunk! I really want her to be my girlfriend but im not sure she will reciprocate! Im nervous and i want to be cool and smooth? Like ive done it loads of times! Any advice would be a great help?

When living overseas, there are so many household and childcare chores a couple has to do by themselves, without help from family or servants.

On the other hand, they have less interference from in-laws and nosy relations.

So in general, do you think Indian couples living overseas enjoy life more than the ones living in India?

I work with a girl who never wants to go to company get togethers or parties. She's in her late twenties and married, no kids. She is very nice although quite quiet - works hard but usually not anything over 40 hrs a week. Anytime someone brings in cookies, she immediately says no thanks when offered. Outings to lunch - always shot down. Even the company Christmas party.

I'm curious to think of what others who work in an office, or work in general think of this type of person in the work place. Be as honest as possible, and as detailed.
