I've gotten into arguments with my husband and his guy friends about driving drunk, they can do it on their own time but when they are driving me or my husband I don't want them to be under the influence!
I hate that I sound like a b*tch when I bring it up but sorry I don't want to leave my children with no mother or father! Everytime I want to decide who will be the designated driver the guys are like "oh come on..."
Am I wrong?

these other guys are men with wives and children and white collar workers, you'd think they wouldn't be so ignorant. Trying to say they're not like uneducated losers - they are mostly intelligent individuals!

In all honesty, I have seen why more women so plowed that they don't know their own name, try and leave a bar and drive, when they can find the door. Heck, I've seen a woman so drunk that she copped a squat near the bar (inside) because she couldn't make it to the restroom, and she only got there like 10 min. before from another bar, by herself!
I must say though, in this day and age of sue Sue SUE! Good for you, you can be held liable for letting someone leave drunk. And don't let anyone say they wouldn't do that to you, because it's the person they run over and they're attorney that would do it to you, not the drunk.

You're not a b**** and don't hate yourself for feeling that way. I lost my cousin to a drunk driver on December 21, 1995. She was only 26. I will be laying flowers at headstone on that weekend. It's changed the way our families observe Christmas. It's brought us closer together.

because it wont happen to them . just like telling kids not to have sex or they'll get preg . there are 300 million people in the U.S. and it happened to all of them , but that 1 person is special + it won't happen to them. drunk drivers kill people every day , but i'm special so it won't happen to me. Aids is everywhere , millions have it + more will get it , except me ,because i'm special. GEE just how special I must be that none of those things will ever happen to me , it only happens to the other 300 million people. I should play the lottery , since i've got a better chance of winning that than killing people on the road just cuz I'm drunk. sorry about going on like that , i just hate special people

The laws are too lax they should have public canings as well as all the other consequences that are now in place. If you act like an irresponsible idiot you ought to be treated as such. Public canings would trastically reduce drunk driving..Whenever one of your immature friends wants to drive after drinking call the cops..and take a taxi home.

Hey I always take drunk driving seriously, I always put my beer in the cupholder when I turn.. LOL. No but seriously,when Im wasted, I have someone drive me home,sleep over, or grab a cab. it just ain't worth it. i have buried too many friends over the years from drunk driving or drug influences.

I just go to happy hour for a couple hours, its one mile from house.
I do most of my drinking at home.
Its not very economical to take taxi's, unless you are in the philippines hehehehe, but that is always an option.

well " legally" drunk is not "wasted" or falling down drunk to some people. 2 or 3 beers and you can be legally drunk. but folks that were raised drinking, that aint nothing

because sometimes we drive better when we are drunk...and better yet, i always carry a bottle of rum, and if i get pulled over, then i just get out of the car and chug it in front of the police, and then he can't prove how much i had before i chugged the rum...drunk in public, give me my car keys please.
