So I guess on average the difference in age in couples ranges from 3 to 7 years, people seem to have no problem with these age ranges. But when people are younger it is considered odd for example, a senior in high school to date a sixth grader middle school. Why is it accepted when people get older and why isn't it when people are younger? Also, do married or dating couples realize that they are in essence, in a situation where a fifth grader is dating a 5 year old?

My boyfriend is 30 and I am 35. We are very busy now. He is extremely too, he is finishing his graduate degree, looking for jobs, and working as well. He also helps me with my school stuff since I am so stressed out with graduate school and work. He cares very much for me, picks me up from work, buys me food etc. We haev been together for almost 2 years and do not live together but spend long weekends together.

Our sex frequency is once a week iniciated by him. Some times I find myself wanting more but he is dead tired and tells me he needs to rest. I feel I have higher sex drive....Before he looked for me more, now he is more confortable perhaps. Well, I don't know, I need help. Is this normal given the circumstances? Should I worry? Yesterday he iniciated pasionate love to me and at the end I cried of hapinness as I had thought that perhaps he wasn't so much into me anymore. Am I being paranoid??

Im a freshman in college, I live with my single mother. My sister is graduating from Syracuse this year. My father doesnt or should I say rarely sends money for help. We just got a bill from pseg and its sooooooo high. My mom began to cry and I feel soooo bad and i get depressed about it because she's such a nice person and I know that it's hard for her- my father basically ruined her life. Ugh he's such a dirtbag. Pray for me that we hit the lotto tonight please.

I just met this guy on myspace 2 weeks ago I don't know him in real life. Since then I am now his number 1, he comment every single picture I have. He constantly writes me dumb messages that just say "Roar!" he always types "lolzz" after everything he says and it's really annoying me. He even said he loves me and misses me like crazy. I think he is a crazy one himself. He put me as one of his "heroes" on myspace and it writes "sarah is awesome" all over his myspace. He's being really stalkerish & he doesn't even really know me! Keeps talking about how he wants to just sit on the computer and talk to me all day, I find talking to him quite boring cause he talks about weird stuff. I just don't know how to be mean to him and say "chill out"

What is a nice way to tell him to back off a little?

I'm 16 and my parents got divorced when I was 13. They got divorced because my mom was a drug addict and they fought constantly. I used to cry myself to sleep all the time when they were married because my parents were always yelling and crying. Now that they are divorced, I feel better about 90% of the time because i don't have to listen to fighting and I try to push those memories out of my head. I also don't really mention any of it to my friends. But sometimes when people mention certain things it causes the bad memories to come back and I feel sad again, sometimes for days. How can I keep myself from getting all depressed every time someone mentions divorce or drugs? I'm tired of thinking about all the bad things that have happened in my life and I want to be able to get past them.

Why do so many people want to be tied down?
I just don't get it, why so many people want to be tied down by marriage. I mean most of it ends in divorce anyway, but even if it doesn't, there are so many freedoms you lose once ur married. I personally will never get married ever. I am 19 y/o guy and I know a lot of people say stuff like this when they r young, but I am know who I am and its not for me. So what I want to know is why do so many people get married, cant be just love cuz there r so many negatives that out weigh that????????????? Is it that lots of people need some one whos there to take care of them and be there when they r down or hurt?????
This may sound like I am against marriage or something and thats not it I just dont get why people would do this, they say its love but IS IT Really?? I think its something else

what i mean is, i hate what they are doing to me. The only family member i can really talk too is my grandfather. my real parents got divorced and i can remember everything! now 8 years later, im still fighting it. my dad and stepmom do nothing but bad mouth my mom when she does nothing wrong. they call her a nazi and it really hurts to hear your own father call your mother a nazi right infront of you. sometimes i wish i could just leave and live with my grandpa. my mom loves me but she too bad mouths my dad. why cant my parents see that all they are doing is pushing me away? im tired of all of this. i have no idea what to do. i was going to move back with my mom (long story) but i am starting to like my new school. i hate my home life though. i feel like they run my life! please help. what should i do?

No I'm not the youngun but I can't help but notice 12/13/14 year olds on here asking for relationship advice and lamenting that they're not getting any. Is this strange to anyone because I find it kinda bizarre. When I was that age (and it wasn't that long ago...I'm in uni) not many people were thinking about relationships and all that. What's your opinion on this dating age? When do you think teenagers should start thinking about and doing these sorts of things? Personally I think 15/16 is when we start to develop emotionally and mature and maybe relationships (not to mention sexual activity) should wait until that age. But that's just me. Your opinion... oh and nothing judgemental! This is purely out of interest.

I have a very good girlfriend, who is beautiful, smart, funny, and all around a really nice girl. But why is it that she is always attracted to the older men.
