It is wonderful of you to care so much for your Mom, but realize that more money isn't always the solution; she may be depressed herself, and perhaps could use counseling (as might you). Your college might offer an informal, confidential counseling service where you could get ideas where to turn for emotional and financial help. (I know for a fact that SU offers that service).
The best thing you can do for your Mom is tell her how much she means to you and how you appreciate all her sacrifices on your behalf.

I'm not sure what pseg is but if it's a light or gas bill your mom can call social services for assistant. The government has programs that people aren't aware of and if you just ask they can help regardless to your financial situation. All you have to do is ask. Tell her to read the back of her bill to see if it says anything about assistance with bill. I will say a prayer for you. God Bless!

There are SO many people in your position right now -- it's really sad, huh? We again won't have a Christmas -- I have two grandchildren. I was laid off for 3 months (longer than I have ever been in my life and I've worked hard since I was 14).....so many people are going UNDER anymore. I've cried over those bills too -- yeah, the ones just to survive. You are not alone but yeah, I'll send a prayer out to you and your family. Call the SalvationArmy though - for real -- they paid our rent once. Well, no, the GOOD people who gave money. Seriously, call them.

Know that things could always be worse. That's not to down play what your going through. You'll realize that as bad as all of this sucks right now all of this is going to make you into a stronger person in the long run. Everything happens for a reason and things will get better you just need to hang in there.

Being a single mom is hard, i know. You just want the best for your kids and you try to do whatever you can to provide it.Just be there for her and support her as much as you can. She is trying to do the right thing for you guys by sending you both to college. I hope things will look up for her soon.

It will all turn out ok.
Have you mom call the PSEG and asked them to break up the bill into two payments or more.
I am sure they will do it.

Sorry to hear of your situation --- but praying to win the loto just doesn't work (usually), I've tried too.
There are other (better) methods to assure your goals. Loans, grants, etc.
Me thinks, do some extra footwork and win big!
I'm not cold - I will include you and yours in my prayers.
Good Luck,

You should have your mom look into some low income stuff to help with the bills.
