okay so i read a story in english class today.
this is basically what it is:
to a young balck girl the word ******* means something different when said by a white person in school than one of her friends or family.

i think that is such crap.
if you are going around and your friends and fam are saying it..and you dont have a problem then whats the big deal with someone else saying it. look at all the rap songs that have the word niggger in it. shouldnt you get mad about that too? i mean they arent your friends or your family.

what do you guys think?

Today, me and my friend Brooke beat my boyfriend and this other guy in doubles tennis. I mean we didn't just barely beat them but we really creamed them in all 3 sets we played! Anyway, my boyfriend got all mad about it saying we cheated which is impossible and acting like a pouty baby! I mean what's the big deal? Besides, he should have known we would beat them since we are both on tennis team and he isn't. What is with guys?!

How does it feel to take a step away from a relationship thats over a year long?

My boyfriend Grant and I have been together since June 2006 but my parents still don't accept him because he's in his 40's and I'm just recently 21. I spoke with my mother this morning on the phone about our annual family reunion every Halloween. She told me that she didn't want me to bring Grant because it's "embarrassing that her daughter is dating a man the same age as her father". I broke down and started crying and basically told her that Grant had to come because he's part of the family...she then went on to say that it was horrible that I've moved in with him and she knows we're having sex and that isn't something she had wanted me to do until marriage. I say all of this to ask: What can I do in this situation? Should I still go to the reunion even though I can't take Grant, or should I just show up with him???

I just started dating this guy who is so sweet...likes to cuddle, give backrubs, sweet texts throughout the day, and emails, etc. But I just do not have that butterflies feeling. We've slept together and it was just eh but he's inexperienced for his age...maybe he just needs practice? But he doesn't take to the guides that I give him. Do you think that I would know right away if this was something special? I just don't want to throw away a sweetheart just because the physical side is less than earth shattering. And I'm sorry if this is an over-share, but afterwards I just want to jump up and get in the shower which I think is a pretty bad sign (but don't know if this would change as a deeper relationship evolves). And I don't want to lead him on while I try to figure out how I feel- he's already pretty smitten and I don't want to hurt such a guy. Thank you so much! And yes I know jumping into bed so soon was stupid...already vowed not to do that again.

Mothers. Yes, I know you mean well. Can you please give me some words that I should keep in my heart about this topic?

Earlier this year, my mom and I have had a few words of choice together, but we resolved that. Everything has been just dandy. I know I'm still young, but I'll be 15 in December, and I have no freedom, whatsoever. And it's not because of how we weren't getting along either. Last month, my best friend came over and stayed with me for a day. And the time before that, in June, was the last time I've done anything with my friends this year. Two times this whole year. And it's because my mom won't let me do anything. She's always telling me that I need to "engage" myself in friends and activites, but how can I if she won't let me? I'm on the brink of loosing it. I can take it a little while longer but not much.

I'm running out of words, so I need to add details.

I believe that it is usually always the woman of the house who ends up doing more of the chores than the man. Agree?

I'm like only 13 and came out about being bisexual last year. Recently I've found that I'm more attracted to older women, around 16-23. I think its got something to do with the fact I've always got along with people older than me. Is this strange?

She's a coworker of mine. She always asks me to go out with her and the others from work. I always say I can't, or I don't know if I can go. She always says that it would be good if I go. The problem is I don't really want to go out with her and the others from work. I just want to go out with her. I would go out with them, but she always ends up leaving early and then i'm stuck with a bunch of people I don't really want to be with. 1. Why does she always ask me to go, when she knows that I never go. 2. I really don't like the rest of the people that go, so am I doing the right thing by not going?

It seems IMO that people have become so preoccupied with sex that they have forgotten what is most important, the relationship.

Do u think that people in this generation seem to choose partners based on a sexual encounter rather than true companionship? If so then do u think that maybe this idea of "lust" rather than love has lead to our high divorce rate?

My cousin and I always laugh about all the times we got, well let's be frank, beat. We never got it when we didn't deserve it and it wasn't a problem where we would show up to school with bruises and stuff but they definitely weren't great experiences.

My favorite is when my cousin took a knife to his dads classic car and ripped all the interior. He got his *** beat for that one lol. Horrible time, I remember everyone crying but now we talk about it and it's hilarious. I think these things kept us out of trouble, we were both scared of our dads.

So I have a great boyfriend. He's sweet (although he can be insensitive about certain things like most guys). He gets really jealous if I hang out with other guys, and loves to hang out with me constantly.Well, my gay friend just met my boyfriend of 9 months and he told me he thought he had gayface and it's been bugging me ever since that now I'm thinking, wow, could my boyfriend be gay? My gay friend is also cheating with a man married to a woman and that's freaking me out too. And now I'm starting to get this feeling that my bf might be too! And if you ask me why I think he might gay, I can't come up with one answer! Is that crazy? My boyfriend cooks me dinner (at the beginning). He flew to Europe to be with me, we have sex alot (usually me on top) and he watches me and plays with my boobs and only lasts a couple minutes. He loves video games and sports. He gets hard if we talk about getting married or having kids.
I'm so paranoid now that I would break up! What's wrong with me?

I know too often in a "friends with benefits relationship" the girl is the one to become attached
while the guy views it as nothing more than sex, so I pose this question: I have been friends with a guy for six years, 3 of which have been with benefitsI feel like the fact that this sort of relationship has lasted so long is rather impressive, thus it must mean something, so what do you think. Am I delirious or what?

Okay so i went to visit my sister whos in college in Chicago and we went out with some of her friends. She told me that this one guy was a complete ho and he did come onto me . He spent the night flirting with me and when we got back to her house he said i was beautiful but then he went home soon after. I messed up because I dont have much experience with guys and I wanted to ask him to walk me back to my hostel but was too nervous. I saw him in the distance this morning but he didnt come over .Im going back there in 2 weeks and was wondering if you think he really liked me ?

1. Are you one of those people when in an agruement, you'd want to be right and be the last one that says something?
2. If so, do you think that is a good way to communicate?

For weeks now I would settle arguments with my girlfriend by using the "Girls are always right" - card by not arguing back. Its gotten out of hand now. We had an agruement recently and with usual actions, she now thinks of me as an incompetent person who can't comprehend anything.

3. Shall I continue with this downward spiral by continually using the card ("believing" shes always right) Or shall I slap the ***** and go over ALL of the stupid things SHE would say and let her have It like: not knowing that you have to put bottles in the recycle bin not just paper, Osama bin ladin and Barack Obama are two different people, debit cards are different from credit cards, and to not give out your email address when filling out a form that asks for shipping address?

4. Is there anything ELSE I can do?
