I know too often in a "friends with benefits relationship" the girl is the one to become attached
while the guy views it as nothing more than sex, so I pose this question: I have been friends with a guy for six years, 3 of which have been with benefitsI feel like the fact that this sort of relationship has lasted so long is rather impressive, thus it must mean something, so what do you think. Am I delirious or what?

If you two are only with one and other then in reality you are in a relationship. FWB often turn into real relationships without ever acknowledging it between each other.

You made a choice to be in this relationship and it started to change for you. Did you let him know of the change on your part? See starting out agreeing on a relationship and then doing the "bait and switch" routine is not good. Sit down and talk with him and see if you both are on the same page.

Sorry to say but probably not. Although you never know. I have a best friend who was friends with benefits with a guy for around 3 years also and then she moved away. He tracked her down and proposed. So just never know.
