my girlfriend broke up with me for another guy about a month ago and now she is bringing him to the homecomming dance at out school. he does not to to our school so i have only ever seen him once. what would be the best way to make her jealous so that all she will do is think of me which in return will screw up her night?

20 years ago I broke up with a great guy and he left before I finished telling him why. (I didn't think I was good enough for him) he hates me. I don't want to get back together with him but it has bothered me for years how can I tell him what I really thought and he was great. A friend of mine has a now-ex whom everyone despised. This made me think: what is the etiquette of inviting a friend and not their relatively serious significant other to a wedding?

Keep in mind this is not a significant other who we just find irritating. This is someone who was emotionally abusive to our friend, and would have ruined the fun for everyone present by being incredibly insulting to us all.

Not everyone on the list is getting "and guest." Only those in serious relationships.

it has been a few wks since he officially broke up with me after 4 years b/c he was unhappy... should i send a book da vinci code (ordered on amazon for dirt cheap), and a plain card that just says happy bday... i won't wrap the present up, just send it in plain manila envelope. i have no intentions of getting back together, just as a nice way for me to end this chapter in my life and move on.

I have a friend who dated someone on and off for 4 years. It is a very up and down relationship in his words. He found out she she was pregnant during one of their good spells, so they rushed to the altar and got married within the month just because she was pregnant. They are both older and independent people but why would they think that this is a good thing to do when their relationship has been rocky since the start? Do they just want to get divorced eventually? Oh yeah, the guy had been talking a lot with his ex girlfriend, did not tell her that he was dating much less getting married or that she was pregnant during this time.

so theres this guy that has been flirting with me for a couple weeks- i thought maybe he liked me, and i really like him. so then one of my friends asks him if he likes me (i didnt have anything to do with it) and he told her yeah, he kind of did. but then the day after, he was completely ignoring me. he wasnt responding to anything, and he wasnt really trying to talk to me. apparently he was looking at me when i wasnt watching but i'm not sure thats just what one of my friends told me.

In my case, my girlfriend of almost 2 years had a 2 month affair with my roommate behind my back. I found out recently and am very hurt, as is she. This all stopped a few months ago, and she claimed that she felt extremely pushed away by me and she got the attention from him she needed at the time, but realized what she was doing and stopped it.

For me, I'm outraged and disgusted by the details, and how she lied to me about it so many times...but at the same time, I know that I was very cold and uncaring to her for the past 6 months or so. I would always brush her off to be with my friends, and never called her or told her I loved her unless she said it first.

This is bad, but the situation has shown me that she really does mean a lot to me, and that I really took her for granted...but I also do not know if this is something I can live with. I know she would never do this to me again, especially if I treat her better. What do you think?

Back in July my husband of 8 yrs. up and left me for another woman he found online for sex. My friends and family are so supportive everyone keeps telling me to take care of myself, my daughter (from a previous marriage), and everything else will evantually just fall into place. We have no children together and he did not leave me financially strapped. I always kept everything financially seperate from this man including my house and bank acct. I am haunted in my house of memories of him & even driving through town. Will this awful feeling ever go away? I know time heals all wounds but I feel like I am traumatized by what he did to me. I look back & see that he really wasn't that good of a husband. He did not treat me the way I deserved to be treated being the loyal, caring wife that I was. I'm trying to move forward but it is so hard. I almost have the feeling that I will never meet a nice man or ever trust another one again.

Is it fair to say that a guy like this is not interested in anything beyond a one night stand?
If you're on a first date with a guy and when you say goodbye at the end of the night he kisses you and during the kiss his hands are all over you - inside your shirt, up your skirt, trying to touch your breasts, even trying to touch your vajay area - that he is just trying to get some easy sex, right? I had a first date like this and I had to repeatedly tell the guy to take it easy with the wandering hands. I was very attracted to him and enjoyed the kissing but his hands were EVERYWHERE. He also said "so, can I sleep in your bed?" and I laughed and said no. When I said no he eventually went home and then called me the next morning to set up another date.

But he could ONLY be after easy sex to have acted like that, right?

allright now. I have a friends birthday comin up. at age 12 she is going to be 13. But her interest are into music (which im not into as much only a lil), sports(only baseball) dance etc. I just dont know what to give in general. Well, its like what it says above, except that he's actually a couple of interviews away from being one. I just want to know what that life is like. He says that the companies told him that they are very considerate about letting employees stay fixed when they have families, but others I've spoken to say this just isn't what happens. Also, they said that what would happen would be him going out to the oil rigs for 1 or 2 weeks, and coming back for 1 or 2 etc. What's this like, both before and after kids?
