I've seen some great suggestions for ways to save money when planning a wedding.
- Have the wedding around noon with a lunch reception. This is less expensive for both venue rental and food, and if it's a lunch reception, there's no need to have a bar.
- For a small-ish wedding, an iPod and sound system can provide music.
- You can make really nice decorations and invitations yourself.
- Go for a smaller cake and not a "sculpture"

As long as the venue is nice and everything looks good, can we do all these money-saving things without seeming 'cheap'?

We're footing the bill ourselves, and although we're comfortable financially, we just don't see the point in spending a huge amount of money on 1 day.

This is embarassing but...

My first few kisses were pretty traumatic and embarassing. Fast forward many years, many boyfriends, and many kisses, but I'm still shy and inhibited when it comes to kissing, especially early on (the first few dates).

I enjoy kissing and making out, but I always seem to "hold back." It's hard for me to really get in touch with passionate feelings...they are in there somewhere, but they don't seem to come out much unless I've had several drinks. All I usually feel is uneasiness and nervousness.

I think this causes the men I date to feel that we don't have chemistry, when in fact I just have hang-ups and nervousness that keep me inhibited until I have *really* grown to trust someone (which takes quite a long time).

Anyway, do you think it would be better to tell whoever I am dating that I am shy and that this doesn't mean that I don't like them? How can I get over my nervous feelings, develop confidence, and get in touch with my passionate feelings

ok i havent seen or heard from my ex boyfriend in 2 months...last night i went to some lounge by me with my friend and i saw my ex kissing some girl...im not going to lie, even though i moved on, it did bother me a bit...after he hooked up with her he was by the bar by himself so i went up to him and said hi and we started talking...after that i saw some guy who i knew and we started dancing and flirting with each other...i saw my ex staring at us that he even came up to me while i was talking to the other guy...after that i walked out with my friend and that guy and his friend and i kno my ex saw it bc he tried getting my attention by grabbing my waste...then he calls me and leaves a message on my voicemail saying "i want you" but ur with another guy" i mean seriously, whats his problem??? its ok for him to hook up with other girls but not ok for me to flirt or dance with other guys? i mean what was that all about?? what do u guys think?

2 of my best friends = this pair of twins. whenever we do certain things, i'd voice out, warn them not to do it bc we'll have to suffer the consequences, & they'd always say "nvm it's ok, blablabla". in the end we'd ALWAYS get into trouble & I'D always be the one bearing the consequences. & it involves me forking out money to save all of our asses just because they didn't choose to listen to me.

incident 1: we booked a hotel for a party, 1 of them knowingly dripped wax onto the carpeted floor, i went crazy, told them to clean it up. they shoved it off, told me "its ok, they have house keeping!", now the hotel wants us to pay 500 for damages

2: we were holidaying - it was the last day, an hr b4 our coach arrived to drive us to the airport. we booked an appt to do tattoos, i didn't want to do 1 bc i travel frequently so i knew how to gauge timing. they forced me into doing 1 too & told me they'd ask the coach to wait for me. in the end the coach left and i had to fork out 170 for a cab

My husband and I have been under alot of stress...I had 2 miscarriages..we did IVF to conceive..our sex life hasn't been the greatest..he doens't have a job, now our baby might have downs syndrome..he said he couldn't talk to me, that I didn't listen to him..he started talking to this other girl...she lives right around the corner....I was upset..I asked him to stop calling and talking to her?? Our daughter will be 16 in 6 weeks my wife thinks we should sell her the car for $3.000.00 (worth 6500.) I think this is a BIG problem. I want her to be able to use MY car when I feel she should use it, not have the attitude I'll never be home, and I (she) can come and go as she pleases It's my car... My friend is marrying my sister in law & they will be married in Lake Tahoe in August, 2008. He doesn't want to rent tuxedos....but doesn't want to make his groomsmen purchase a separate suit when they already have to pay to fly to Lake Tahoe. Are there any places that rent suits, or formal clothing other than tuxedos ? Any ideas ?? We are in the Chicago area.

Its the strangest thing. my long distance relationship with my ex ended about a year ago with her telling me online that she had been seeing someone behind my back and had gotten pregnant. but whats strange is she still kinda stayed in touch with me. her and the baby's father was having problems, and she told me that he had cheated on her etc. she even felt compelled to show me a pic of the child when she had it. why, I dont know. currently, she avoids me like the plague. she rarely accknowledges me anymore. but whats sad is, Im a good guy. people say long distance doesnt work, but she wanted it as much as i did. My "best friend" had sex with the father of my child. We are no longer together and neither one know that i know about it. But it seems that i cannot get over it. you know we met and we talked a little, i knew she liked me alot, then we started talking alot more and we went to the beach together, there we talked alot, then on the beach we listend to her cd's together, she put her hand on top of mine, then i grabed her hand and we held hands, then she started playing with my hair, then we held hands with the hands, we kept moving closer to eachother and then she kissed me, then that night we went out, we only had this noght cuz she was leavin later that night and so would i, so she said we have to keep talking with eachother and we gave eachother our addresses, we held hands when we walked and she always squeezed my hand, then we sat don on a little wall and we hugged, she asked me if i had a girlfriend and i said no, she smiled and then we started kissing and hugging, then we walked back home holding hands, and i gave her one last kiss goodbye, since that night she texted me 3 times telling me how she always thinkin bout me, whats the situation?
