well i know i'm not much of a fighter i only like to fight the way i know but there's a friend who learns martial arts and he used to learn also ju jitsu so he's practically unbeatable lool neway i don't want to hurt him but he always picks up with me and tries some new moves and sometimes he uses pressure points and i can't escape from it..the last time he did a pressure point on my neck, my neck hurted for a whole day..i wanted to ask if u could give me some hints how to defend myself and how maybe to turn a bit the situation and do me something to him..don't get me wrong he doesn;t wnat to hurt me he only jokes but i always finish hurting..and pls don't tell me to leave him cause he's a maniac or something like that i only want some advices to defend a bit myself!! plsss help me if u can =)

How can I improve? Meeting new people is just so hard for me. I love meeting them, but I have no clue how to keep the conversation going. Any tips or anything? I just can't think of anything to say. I'm somewhat shy, but not enough to really pose a problem. I can meet new people and be fine with it, I just somehow always let the conversation die. And the other person always gets tired of starting new conversations with me. So... yeah. Help for the socially awkward?

my mom can be so irritating. she does not respect my privacy at all. i'm about to turn 18 very soon and i feel as if i deserve more privacy than this. she always barges into my room without ever knocking. even when my door is locked she'll find a key to open it (my doorknob is the crappy one that can be opened with pretty much any key). my boyfriend and i were making out in my room, and i had the door locked, and what does she do? she unlocks it and looks at us and gets out. WTF IS WRONG WITH HER? does she intentionally do this to piss me off or something? how do i keep her out of my room? she doesn't seem to understand what the word KNOCK means because i've told her a million times to knock before coming into my room and she never does. UGHHHH.

It's not peer pressure.
I'm 13 and I think that's a reasonable age to get my eyebrows done.
My eyebrows look like a guy's eyebrows [worse actually]. I don't have a low self esteem or anything [as I'm sure some of you will say]. It's just that every morning I wake up to look in a mirror only to find that the amazon forest is still there on my forehead. It's ugly, but my mom thinks its cute.
My dad claims to me that I'm too pretty [lol] to get my eyebrows done, but I say no I'd be prettier if my eyebrows actually matched my face.

Are there some "magic words" I can say to make them let me get my eyebrows done? They're kind of strict.

I happen to know a woman who is one of those seemingly rare types that really doesn't want to have children, and has known this all her life. She has recently met a man who does want kids, and their relationship is rather new so they have not discussed it. He has made a few comments such as, "When I am more established in my career, then I can focus on my family" and "Maybe my future son or daughter will go to this-or-that school some day." They are both in their late 30's.

I am curious about how many men want children who would be willing to sacrifice that dream to stay with the woman of their dreams, if she doesn't want to have any.....

Why is this? I barely talk in this one class, yet this guy likes me. He always teases me though, but I can tell he does. Whenever I'm waiting by the classroom doors before lunch he always comes up to me and just checks me out right in front of my eyes and everything. It's always been this way for me.

Yet when I'm more outgoing, I feel like I'm shooing them all away? It's not that I'm being obnoxious, I just don't get it, maybe they see me as vulnerable?

Ok, I did something stupid. I haven't seen my 1st love since we broke up and it's been over 10 years. I started having dreams about him---that he wasn't ok. So I found his address on the net and wrote to him all the feelings I ever felt about him. Yes, I poured out my heart.

...only to find that he's now married and has kids. The wife wrote back to me and call me all sorts of names and now my ex hates me too. Basically, I was hated for showing my true feelings that he obviously doesn't give a damn about anymore.

At one point, I was really worried that he might be dead (due to the dreams I was having) so I thought I find him to tell him how I really felt before anything happened to me or him.

been talking to this girl on msn and on the phone. I actually liked her yrs ago. We been talking for couple months now but only me up once to go hiking, but I know she had a good time with me cause she called me later that night and we talked for hours, Sometimes when she talks to me she says she should set me up with someone. But why is she always trying to talk to me. when she talks to me on msn she says good night and sweet dreams and gives the hug symbol

well I talked to this girl on the phone and we had plans to hang out on the weekend, when the day came she said she was busy. Also I asked her out for dinner next week she said she will get back to me. So I avoided her on msn for a couple days cause I was mad, she left me a message on msn saying she was busy on the weekend but asked me to come to the bar on sunday. Is she playing games?or does she just want to be friends.

I am a 21 year old guy in college. I take pride in how I treat people, and always try to be there for the people in my life 24/7, and enjoy at least trying to be the type of person who would sacrifice for the well-being of my friends, and just be there to have fun and celebrate/party with them, or always be there to talk and bring them soup when they are sick, etc. A few months ago, I met a girl. We were very into each other, but after about 2 weeks of some pretty great dating and hanging out, she broke it to me that she "didn't want a relationship right now in her life" even though she would always tell me she wished she could be with me because I "was amazing" (as if something was stopping her?) -and she felt attracted to other guys. That almost made me leave peacefully, but we both said we really felt for each other -she was just confused. So i wanted to give her her chance, and we continued to see each other for about 3 months. I have this friend i have known him for nearly 2 years since i started my apprenticeship, we worked on the same floor. But have never had a really long conversation really. But every few months he emails me an asks me to go down his house to see what could happen between us, which i would never do as i am enagaged, but i have told him this and he is still determined. and he has been getting more intimate with what he says whichi weird as i only ever really saw him at a 2 day conference an walking passed him at lunch. So i decided to ask him what his girlfriend would say if she knew what he was upto an he just said she would get upset, but he still says he reallyy wants to know what would happen between us as he knows there was abit of attraction but that was nearly 2 years ago an i haven't seen him in at least a year. Please can anyone help me stop him being like this as he is great talk to but thats all, and its been really upsetting me the way he is being. Please help......

My significant other has 2 adult children who both have families and small children. They kept coming home to run the air conditioner, borrow money, eat, cook, leave a big mess, shower, do laundry and everything else you can imagine while he is gone to work. I work full time too, so I am never there.
His kids never seem to have jobs or any life plans except to live off old dad who by the way works nites and sleeps in the daytime 6 nites a week 12 hours a nite. His kids dont seem to get it, they run the TV, washer, stereo, have kids screaming and fighting. babies crying while he is trying to sleep.
He loaned his bedroom furniture out. Do you think he did this to get them to stay in their own homes or am I just being too happy to see them gone? Today is the 1st time we have been together for ions. Kids toys are strewn all over his house, but they have been there since his daughter came to visit about 3 weeks ago. They never clean up after themselves.

My husband has 3 seperate e-mail accounts. He is very private about who he e-mails. Is it wrong of me to want to know who he e-mails? Marriage as a whole, I think needs some major rework! Yes its true wemen. Otherwise, the divorce rate wouldn’t be what it is.

Could it be that these "traditional" marriages just aren't cut out for modern times? These are unrealistic expectations to live up to and totally unnecessary.

What are your ideas to fix the marriage "institution"?

Ive weird problem my bf wants me to think hes cheating on him when hes not.No,hes not preparing to cheat.I told him if he wants to break up we can break up and im not wanting commitment.But he doesnt want to break up or commit but continue our relationship.Hes 36 single works in medical field If i break up he wants me back.Dont say hes cheating,will wants to cheat,commitment phobic,will propose those are not reasons why hes trying his best to make me think hes cheating when im sure hell not cheat on me.What do you think and what do i do to make him stop it
