My significant other has 2 adult children who both have families and small children. They kept coming home to run the air conditioner, borrow money, eat, cook, leave a big mess, shower, do laundry and everything else you can imagine while he is gone to work. I work full time too, so I am never there.
His kids never seem to have jobs or any life plans except to live off old dad who by the way works nites and sleeps in the daytime 6 nites a week 12 hours a nite. His kids dont seem to get it, they run the TV, washer, stereo, have kids screaming and fighting. babies crying while he is trying to sleep.
He loaned his bedroom furniture out. Do you think he did this to get them to stay in their own homes or am I just being too happy to see them gone? Today is the 1st time we have been together for ions. Kids toys are strewn all over his house, but they have been there since his daughter came to visit about 3 weeks ago. They never clean up after themselves.

That would be my first move! Take out the beds and demo the room if he has to. He's more than done his job. Those losers will be coming between the two of you next!.....

I think your "significant other" was ingenious in the method he used to get some privacy. Congratulations, I hope his children get the picture.

Perhaps he should consider changing the locks.
