my question is, i was brought up in a time where people got married and had familys. why are people not doing that anymore, is it cause of no role models, lack of disipline, or lack of moral rights? just curious about what people think.

I just got a domesttic violence from him. He stood up in court, told them I was no threat, so I could come to my home. Now he is threating to go to my P.O and cause me problems. I would appreciate any advice. No dumb or hateful commments, PLEASE!!!!!! Also threatened to get a restraining order on me. Of course he did not. It's like there is a good and evil side to him. Please only serious answers. It would be apppreciated.

ok i havent seen or heard from my ex boyfriend in 2 months...last night i went to some lounge by me with my friend and i saw my ex kissing some girl...im not going to lie, even though i moved on, it did bother me a bit...after he hooked up with her he was by the bar by himself so i went up to him and said hi and we started talking...after that i saw some guy who i knew and we started dancing and flirting with each other...i saw my ex staring at us that he even came up to me while i was talking to the other guy...after that i walked out with my friend and that guy and his friend and i kno my ex saw it bc he tried getting my attention by grabbing my waste...then he calls me and leaves a message on my voicemail saying "i want you" but ur with another guy" i mean seriously, whats his problem??? its ok for him to hook up with other girls but not ok for me to flirt or dance with other guys? i mean what was that all about?? what do u guys think?

We already have a custody and visitation order in effect. I am willing to forgo any further child support payments and will gladly allow son to visitation for the summer any all spring and winter breaks.

In a nutshell, my Dad is a World of Warcraft (a well-known MMORPG, for those of you who don't) addict, and he can't stop.
I haven't confronted him on the matter, but my mom has, and she gets really upset a lot of times. He plays almost 5 hours some days, and seems depressed any time that he can't/isn't playing.

We're staying away from the house, and since he hasn't been playing, he seems very down. He tried to download it on my laptop, and when it didn't work, to cover it up so I wouldn't see it. Since I played World of Warcraft to these extreme extents a long time ago, I recognize that he misses the game, but I want to show him he needs to stop, so he doesn't get completely consumed by it. It was okay when I did, I didn't have anyone relying on me, and I've recovered since (though I'm not saying what I did was okay). Since he's my dad, I worry about my mom and two younger brothers, that, along with me, rely on him to be there for us, and I want to know how I can help him stop.

Im planning to move out and with my sister but not sure cuz she's so inresponsible. And truly can't trust her and by myself im nervouse. Shoot i can do it, but im only 18 i won't get pay to afford an apartment by myself. I don't have to move out but is that my mom is moving really far and i want to finish school in my neighborhood. Just give me some confidence cuz im the first one to do it by myself.

ok i have been trying to become a better christian and i have started to read the bible more often and make me and my mom go to church as well. i reall yam trying hard.. i also want to bring my family closer to God and Jesus Christ. I talk to my mom alot about christianity and the bible and tell her that we need to change alot of our ways and sacrifice alot for God. she agrees but she can be sometimes alittle hardheaded. you see my brother married a girl in ukraine and later they divorced. Well her parents got a green card moved here and lived with us and at first was all good but later there were problems that pissed my mom off and now she has hatred towards them and they workd at her job and she hates and i try to tell her to not do that but she cant help it they just get on her nerves .. like the husband barely does ne thing at the job and she always cleans up after him and he makes her angry alot i dont know how to help her with her problem i dont want her to be so stressed please

My name is steve & I got married 3years ago
After the wedding my wife changed her last name and took my middle name because my last name is too long and has a bad memory to me.
I bear one of my fathers name as my last name
He used to abuse me in the most horrific ways that I cant mention.
He,s passed on now.
I hate this name and avoid relating to it.
Infact I hate when peple use my last name when calling me.
On the other side of the coin I love my father In-law and named my son after him.
Do you think I,ll be a freak if I took his name as my last name and dumped my biological fathers name.
And how do I legally do it?

my dad once beat me when i was 7 years old and made me promise that i wouldnt grow up to be gay and he said if i did he would kill me

He hasn't really done anything. He just seems distant. I guess I'm just insecure about the state of our marriage right now. Sometimes I don't think he loves me anymore. I feel like he thinks of sex as more of a chore than something he really wants. I see couples everyday who seem to be really in love. I see husbands who aren't afraid to tell their wives that they love them when other people are around. I wish my marriage were more like those. Sometimes I think that he wouldn't care if I walked out the door...or told him to walk. Maybe it's all in my head. I don't know.

Okay so i've been praying a lot and i asked god what's my purpose in life and i asked for him to help me because i think it's being an actress since i know miley cyrus and stuff and i kept on praying for him to help me! 2 days later miley tells me that there's an open audition in L.A for the hannah montana show! A lot of my friends found out i knew her and started talking to me and wanted to audition too so i told them but I really i didn't want to but it would've been mean and my purpose in life isn't being mean to people...it's being nice somehow so i told every one of my friends that wanted to know about it and they're probably going! I have no stage fright whatsoever and my sister thinks that's weird because my first talent show i wasn't scared at all. I don't know what this means but can you help me??? Oh and miley's boss said that i have a really great chance of getting the part too??? Is god telling me something?!?! Or am i not going to get the part and it'll be a hard....

What is up w/this guy. Ive started dating a younger guy he is 20 & im 29 and ive been w/him for over a month and he started working like 7 days a week and I asked him why doesn't he text me back right away when I text him. And he doesn't answer the phone when I call him. He said he is really busy. So I asked him if I should leave him alone he says no. And tells me that is why he doesn't have girlfriends because he puts work before pleasure? I just sent him a text saying that I want him to be my boyfriend no matter how busy he is and to call me when he has time to see me. Is that wrong should i just leave him alone?

I met a girl that I like and want to ask out. She has come into my work a couple of times (Its part of her job) and we have talked. I knew I should have asked her out the last time I saw her but I got cold feet, Now I dont know when I will see her again, I may see her at work but it could be a week, a month or longer. I know where she works, so I was thinking about calling her work and asking for her, but I think that may be a little to scary and she may not like it. What should I do? Just wait ill she comes in again? or try to think of some other way to talk to her, like calling her at work? Any suggestions?

Anyways, my question is : people always tell me that im pretty and that im gonna grow up and be "hot" im concerned that if i dont grow up being "hot" that im gonna be disappointed with myslelf. so what would you do? My mom doesnt wear her engagment or wedding ring. I know my parents arent mad at eachother or in trouble. My dad doesnt wear his ring because he has a skin condition on his hands and the ring makes it worse. But i don't know why my mom doesn't wear hers and its bothering me. the man that i am with has a long history of cheating, basically all his adult life and unfortunaly that didnt stop when he was with me, he says his life was all messed up anyway and just a lie and he couldnt love me the right way because of that. but it all stopped when i was getting ready to leave him. now he loves me completely, with everything and as right. he says that he could never be unfaithful again, now that he knows what real love can be like. i have many doubts. can anyone help me understand? or maybe relate??
