Hi there, I am a grandma of a 15 year old who has her myspace space.. Her parents made sure that no one can find out who she is... or where she lives.... or any personal information about her... They put blocks on her space place and only my granddaughter can let kids in she knows........if you are mature enough then I see no reason why you cant go on.......... dont be in there all the time, but a few times a week isnt too bad..... ..

i think your mom is right, 12 years old is way too young. having a myspace is some what dangerous as well. if you do decide to get one in the future be sure to make sure you don't put anything bad on at, as colleges might look up your myspace in there decision of whether to accept you. but you have to be careful, you think that you're not gonna be the girl that is tracked down from a profile on the internet by a sick person, but you never know.

Then do some research and tell her the pros and cons to MySpace. Approaching your mother as an adult will impress her more. Also explain to her that you can have a private myspace profile which no one can see who is not on your friends list.

I agree with your mom....my son is 12 and I feel he is to young. There are just to many bad people out there that are out to hurt young kids....It may not seem like it, but your mom really does know best. Please be safe and listen to your mom!!! Age-32

im 16 and I think myspace is lame whether you have it or not. Its stupid, immature and a waste of time. be yourself and stop trying to be like your friends. Be yourself.

What, do yo work for NASA or something, that you want "your space"?
Take one thing at the time, perhaps, is good not having your own aspace because once you do, that minds that you are responsable for it. iex=cleen it, keep it organize ... and so on.
Now that is the good part, what about paying rent for "Your space", have you thought about it...?

I agree with your Mom. But as a Dad that might be expected...
One thing I have learned... Mom's are ALWAYS right.
