My girlfriend and I have been dating for about six months now. We already have plans to get married in December of this year. That's about six months from now (duh).

So, when should I propose to my girlfriend? I am not familiar with all the protocol...where should I propose to her? I understand that I need to have her ring at the time. What is reasonable in terms of cost for her wedding and engagement rings?

Im 14 and my exboyfriend wants to get back together but ive already told him that i was with someone else. I broke up with him the first time because he cheated on me. He doesnt understand that im turly over him. But everytime i get close to him he grabs me and kisses me and all the anger melts away. I have no idea wat to do with him help.

We agreed together as we have some unresolved issues but when we met for last time it was more like a date,holding each other's hands and staying for 2 hours together.We both said we couldn't believe this is the end and although we've been dating for a month we stuck 2 much.We tried to break up last week also but when we met we couldn't.This time i know it's final and at the end he hold me in his arms and we kissed.I left without looking back but i was trying to control my tears in the street.I told him to keep it friendly but he said he can't see me this way.Wedidn't want to break up but it was necessary bc of some certain problems we can't solve.I want to call him or send him a sms after sometime but how he will react?Thereis no future between us but he was the best for me.How i will get it over,i can't sleep or eat and i can't realise that i'll never see him again.

I'm 14 and my dad has been abusing me by throwing, plates, knives, chairs, etc and locking me the basement (unfinished) for days on end, and also emotionally abusing me.... he has been doing this for 6 years now and I've had enough of it but I love my dad and I don't want to get him in trouble. I am 23 living with my parents and my 18month old son. I Moved back in after 4 years of not being home. My son is growing up and needing boundries. My Mother is constantly putting her "2 cents" in, and blaming me for him crying. (We recently took him off the bottle, and he cries a little.) I'm not sure if I am over-reacting or if she is becoming too controlling. And yes, I know I need to move out, and am doing everything I can to financially be able to do it. (Single mom alert). Any other suggestions? Preferrably what to tell her?

Just wanted if anyone could give me some advice?

over the last few months i have beeing having problems with work. from being overworked and sometimes having to work through my luch to make sure that my work is completed. I feel like a slave at the moment.

its really getting me down as when i speak to my manager she always says " make time to fit work in!" i cant win...

its really affecting my preformance as im rushing work and making mistakes. so i can finish work.

i priorties work and and if i havent done anything im asked why i havent done it?

ive told them that ive not had time... but the same answer is thrown back in my face..." Make time" theres only so much i can do.

Can anyone give me any advice on what to tell my work i need some kind of anumition, before i say stick the job up there ***!!!

i dont want to leave but its making me ill..

I've been seeing my ex on and off for the past year and a half. He will tell you in a heartbeat I'm not his girlfriend, but he still acts like it. Buys me stuff, stays the night, cuddle, etc. To make a long story short, I have evidence he lied to me and when I approached him about it he told me he was done with me and to leave him alone. That's fine with me, but now he keeps texting me asking me why does he feel like I was lying to him. I don't respond, so he is continuing to text me asking me to asnwer his questions..But before he told me to leave him alone! That he's done with me! What should i do? The evidence I found proves he was with another girl but he swears up and down he wasn't. He also doesn't know I have this proof/evidence. hi all -- I'm a high school student (17/f/half japanese) in north cali, I'm taking some classes this summer at the junior college before my senior year in high school. I have an assignment about welfare for one class and wanted to ask some single moms. My daddy says that 98% of single moms are on welfare at one point or another, so here goes:

1) When you were on welfare, what did you think of people like me that drive shiny new cars? (I drive an Acura if that helps.)

2) Where there any things you did while on welfare that you swear you will never do again? Did you do anything that in retrospect surprised yourself?

3) Did you get more pregnant while on welfare?

4) If you ever got off welfare, was it because you were kicked off?

My friend John died on june 12 in a bike accident on vacation in germany. I'm going to his memorial service today. How can I get over it I can't seem too be happy lately. He was 12 when dies he left his parents and sister behind. Help me cope.

My mother has given me life and has provided for me since birth. So that's not the issue. The issue is her constant nagging and criticsm. In the presence of her church friends and coworkers she's a saint. But behind closed doors, she's a nightmare. From everything to my hairstyle to parenting style, nothing I do is ever up to her standard. She's even insisted that my husband and I are abusive when I rarely discipline my child....yet she has been verbally abusing the entire family for years. Over the years, I have built up anger to her. I know that is not right but what should I do? I'm trying to let that go but it's so hard when she insists that my business is her business.

I have been w/ my fiance for almost 4 years, and I just don't feel like He and I are on the same Page anymore.... When I try to bring it up he takes offence and says things like "oh so all of our problems are MY fault" and I say "not its not you, this is about me and what i'm feeling" then he runs off at the mouth and says "if you are that unhappy then just leave" its like he wants to guilt trip me or like he just doesnt want to talk it out w/ me. I was at the gym this morning, and I noticed that one of the personal trainers who I know fairly well was wearing a very nice diamond ring - it looked like a wedding or engagement ring.

The unusual thing was that she was wearing the ring on the ring finger of her right hand, rather than her left hand.

Is there any special meaning to wearing a diamond ring on her right hand rather than her left? She's also of Chinese descent, so I'm not sure whether this may have some significance in her culture.

she live in ohio and im in alaska. she is my father in-law's girlfriend. her 12 year old daughter is seeing this. my father in-law punches her, kicks her, and recently threw a charcoal grill at her and busted her jaw. he also lets other people, including his youngest son of 13, slap her around and call her names. this is eating me alive because i dont know what i could do other than listen to her talk about it. any advice would be appreciated.

Since my bf started working, he has been going drinking with his colleagues almost every night after work. In his opinion, he claims that it helps him to de-stress after a hard day of work. On the other hand, we've been together for close to 3 months and yet we have never been out on a proper date before. I don't understand why is he not putting in effort to make the relationship progress, and prefers to go drinking instead. It doesn't even work when I tried to tell him that there are other ways to relax. It makes me so confused because I don't even know if i should consider myself to be his gf.

I think its just time for me to move on on my own, i don't want her to feel abandoned or that she did something to make me want to move this is a desion that i think is just better for me as a adult. besides i just turned 29 yrs old and she is 31 yrs old. kind of old to be living with your bestfriend?
