Yes, I did. My husband and I met in the old Lycos chats. We talked for a year, then he flew from Australia to meet me in person. Long story short, we have been married 11 fabulous years, have 2 gorgeous children and couldn't be happier. Without the internet we would have never met!

I have dated someone from off a dating site, at first it was great but after a month we broke up because we weren't compatible. I wouldn't put much faith in the dating site compatibility thing. But thats me...who knows it could work for you..I just wouldn't reconmend it.

Yes. I'm in Australia and had someone visit me from America. We had a wonderful time, a rollercoaster of emotions. We've been chatting for 5 years now, and we met when I asked him what the time was over there in a chat room...how corny!!

actually yes, but you just have to be carefull, try your best to filter the good ones and bad ones, talk to them online first, or on the phone, I met my fiance through love@aol 6 years ago, she turned out to be my soulmate, after dating 4 other girls i met online, i met her and instant click, we're getting married in 2 months.

I MET MY BOYFRIEND ON MY SPACE AND EVEN THOUGH I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD EVER DO THAT IT HAS TURNED OUT PHENOMENAL. WE HUNG OUT FOR A WHILE AND CHATTED A LOT ON AIM AND NOW WE R INSEPARABLE.
