I just popped the question to my girlfriend of over 2 years. I have planned to propose in May for the past 5 months however my fiance's sister has been more vocal about "wanting" to get married and I think it's a subliminal message for me saying "you better not get engaged before me" or a "backoff" so to speak. I proposed because it was the right time for me and my girlfriend and I'm not going to put my plans on hold for anything or anyone. The problem is, my fiance and her sister work together and my poor fiance has been crying due to the nasty things and bad attitude of her sister towards both me and my fiance due to jealousy. It's sad when your own blood says to her sister, "you better not ask me to be your bride's maid"...just to name one of them...not to mention she was rude and hung up on me when I tried to calmly talk some sense into her....
I think my fiances sister is making a fool of herself all on her own but I am very upset she is ruining it for us. please help!

Sex is completely different than love! I could love my husband completely, but not want to have sex with him at all.

Ok, so he lives a thousand miles away, and we had talked a LOT. We definitely fell in love, so we decided to be "together" (if you can imagine :-/) So, 2 days after our 4-month anniversary, my mom and dad had a talk and decided to cut him off completely. He told my dad to f**k off and go to hell, and well that just kinda sealed it. He definitely has some problems, but he was getting over them... he was getting better until my parents decided to not let me talk to him. I know he loves me, and he knows I love him, and we got to talk for about 5 minutes for the last time. My mom kept saying he's "possesive" and such, but I know him better and he isn't. My dad said in 2 and a half years I could talk to him again and see how everything was, and maybe reconsider the whole thing. I care about him very much, and he cares about me very much, and I want to be with him, but I don't know what to do. My mom said "there are other nice guys out there" but I dont want any other guy.... I want him

I have asked a question 3 times in the past couple days. I got some good answers and have chosen to trust and stay w/my bf of 5 yrs. In a nut shell, we have been faithful this whole time and he is a wonderful man. Over memorial day weekend we got super drunk, and fell asleep upstairs in my friends house. He slept walked all the way downstairs to my friend on the couch and touched her down there.she was wearing a t-shirt and boxers.she woke up to the grab and said when she saw him there she was shocked. he was out of it! she wasnt even sure if he was awake.she told him to go to bed and they told me after a couple of days.my bf cried his eyes out to me in shame and embarassment, he couldnt believe he did this, he cried in fear of losing me.b/c we have both worked so hard to get where we r now after these yrs. my question is how can i accept this and move on and not think about this every time i wake up or lay down or anything.,i love my friend & my bf & i dont want things to be awkward!

Either for reasons related to him or for any other hurting reasons ... Are you feeling comfortable to let him see your tears or you prefer to cry alone without him even seeing you in these deep sad moments?

But she did once but they broke up. I can sense it is all because of me. As she told me, she keeps herself busy and even during the time she had relationship with other man, I still have her heart. That is what she told me. And I am sure she is not making stories, and as our common friends say so. Is it worth enough to take a second chance?

In present time, many couples are seen to be in a live in relationship. These are not necesarily the unmarried persons. There are people who are husbands or wives of somebody else and are living with another partner in a live in relation. They do this by leaving their spouses and children.
They may not bother whether the spouse is earning or not, whether the children are looked after or not and so on.
The live in relation does not have a legal sanction as marriage, but many societies do not object or hesitate in keeping good relations with those who are in live in relations.
It is the social attitude that gives people courage to openly get into a relation where they live together without caring for legal sanction.
Do you not think that this social scilence amounting to social sanction is digging the roots of family system in the world?

the guy from the net i slept with has been in touch again. i spoke with him online and iniated i wanted to see him again. he thought i did not like him as much and said that my delay in texting him led him to believe this. i said i thought he had lost interest and he said no its because i was abroad and only came back a few days ago. i suggested meeting up next week which he was fine with and to let him know when i am free but when i texted him he did not respond. i then confronted him online yesterday and he didn't respond after saying he got it as he was busy. what shall i do next, text him again or wait?

When children get married, most of them face this question.

I am looking an answer as a social survey.

I would appreciate if the answer also includes the nationality and age-gropu of the person answering. This will give me a broader idea as to how people think at different places!

Generally non-earning parents are treated as a burden. Is thjis attitude justified? if yes, why? If no, why?

my MIL is such a pain what to tell.ahe doesn't have any communication skills .the moment i tell her any incidence she is ready with one of her own.sometimes she won't even let me finish and start speaking.even if i want to get up to do some work she will keep speaking.she is very repetitive also in my 4.5 years of marriage there are so many incidences that i've heard n number of times but she never get tires of telling them again an again.she doesn't like to do household chores she will just in her easy chair and pass orders to me. she just sits there watch TV and eat.
sometimes i'am so fed up that i just lock myself up in my room with my kid.i feellike getting separated from them but am afraid that people won't understand and i will be blamed for everything.she has many siblings and all stay at same place.they all will just listen to her side of the story. what should i do to stay calm and tolerate her.

I have been going church since Dec I was introduced by new group of friends, one of the guys Tim, I really like and he said he feels the same, problem is another girl in our group likes him, he said he dosent feel the same but still does not want to hurt her and secondly because im not a proper christian or anything yet, some people at the church have said its not a good idea to go out with me, and that they may have to excuse him from clubs that he helps out with, if he was to go out with me. I feel people at the church are judging me and are influencing his decision, I used to do modelling but have given that up since going to church and have given up drink because I want to show Tim that I really like him and that I dont want to mess around, and as christians believe marriage is for life he is worried that I wont be able to do that but I would, I dont know what to do or how to prove im for real.
I see him alone a bit but still we are not official and I dont want to loose him, help!

A male friend of mine (we've been friends for many years) recently asked me on my birthday, "If I could grant you any wish, what would you wish for?" I did give an answer, but I'm curious what you would wish for in my situation. He is someone I consider as a true friend, and cares about me a lot, but I would never marry him, yet apparently I'm the girl of his dreams. So what would you wish for?
