My sister-in-law approached me at a party for my mother and said "Your mother doesn't know what's wrong with you. She says she can't talk to you and I'm more of a daughter to her than you are." And I'm sure she said it.

While my mother and I have never been confidantes, I feel I've always been there for her. My family and I had driven 5 hours to be at this party for my mother and I've always been there when she needs me and have spent every holiday with her. It's also true that I moved away young because she's very controlling and critical and I didn't want to be too close.

But I thought that was a very hurtful thing to say (and relay) and I'm ready to limit my dealings with both of them. Am I overreacting?

This goes along with my earlier questions... the guilt trip I get laid on me because he is broke because he has spent all his money and borrowed from pay day loan places, bankruptcy etc. etc. and he screams and yells for me to give him money back from the child support money... I am even lucky to get any money from him at all.. now it is garnished from his wages ... he threatens suicide,,,running on the lam etc. if I don't give him money... he makes me feel so bad because he always says "if I survive" meaning if I don't give it to him then and there and he has to go on for another week without cash...
He got himself into this mess... the kids don't have enough money as it is to cover everything never alone hand it back to him... this is backwards... He relys on me feeling bad etc. in order to keep being his bank and forwarding cash...
Has anyone else had to give money back???

So this is pretty gay of me to do, but whatever so when i was a freshmen which was only last year ha, i met this kid who was a year older than me and he was so funny and he was so different than me and i liked it, i liked him right away because he was so funny and he would always play around with me, we went out for 10 months he was my life and over the summer i broke up with him like 3 times but we'd always get back together he was the hardass type but he cried to me when i broke up with him and he told me he'd die for me anyday and he told me hed probably always love me, he broke up with me one night after like 2 months of fighting and he told me he stopped loving me, even after we've been broken up we've hooked up and ****, i love this kid more than i know....
does he love me? or is it time to just get the **** over his stupid ***?

This weekend I met a cool guy that's from another state (about 4-6 hours away) We were staying at the same hotel and he would just come up and hang out with me. Well on the last day there I got completely drunk and did a lot of crazy things. He stayed there with me and comforted me and even tried to call an ambulance because I got really sick but my friends wouldn't let him. I kind of bugged him that night and wasn't sober enough to tell him goodbye and my friends said that i scared him a little. I really liked the guy and wanted to apologize but didn't get the chance. Should I call him or hit him up or myspace or something to do that or should i just leave it alone?

There is this guy whom i have known since last 4 months. We have not spoken. I know it is traditional (and expected) for the bride and groom to send out thank you cards after the wedding. However, when my step sister got married, she and fiance had a picture taken of them holding up "Thank You" signs. They had magnets made up with the picture on it, their wedding date and their new address. At the wedding, there was a table with all of these magnets. I can't remember how it was worded, but there was a card saying something about how these magnets were in lieu of thank you cards via mail.

Their wedding favors were matchbooks with their picture on it. I no longer have any of the matchbooks..but the magnet remains as a lasting token of their wedding.

Part of me thinks the magnets were lazy...but on the flip side, I STILL have the magnet on my refridgerator....Their picture will be on my fridge for much longer than a card would last.

My question is this: If you went to a wedding where they did magnets instead of cards, what would you think?

This is just to clarify a bit.. I am new to this board so am not too familiar with how it all works yet... my husband does not have the girlfriend anymore ..he was the one calling her an alcoholic and whore etc etc... I used to actually chat with her and we got along fine.... but she did have some serious issues...

I have just called the kids family doctor and am awaiting a call back to see if I can get a referral for counselling for the kids and of course I will be there too... knowledge is power... will try to learn how to deal with this mess....

I have heard from his half sister that he goes to sleep when the kids are with him and or goes out to the coffee shop and takes quite awhile to return..leaving the kids with her ( when he lived there at the time ) and now that he is on his own he still goes to sleep and leaves the 10 yr old to watch the 9 and 4 year old until he wakes up...where is the supervision...

I Will Have Been Married For A year In June. My Husband Told Me Just Last Night That He Is Not In Love With Me Anymore. He Says That He Love But But Is Not In Love. We are a very happy family. my husband and I love each other. There is no abuse or inappropriate behavior and there is no hitting or yellling. I have 3 grown children from a previously marriage. My current husband and I have been married for 9 years. He has a very good relationship with my older kids.

My husband had never been married and has no other children so he thinks the sun rises and sets over our 6 year old.

My daughter is happy, intelligent, has lots of friends,gets along great at school, loves her older brothers and sister, who in turn love her, but every now and then she is just mean to her father. If he says " I love you", she says "I love mommy" or she ignores him. He will be going to work and she won't go to the door to say good by.

Normally she is crazy about him. He gives her plenty of attention but every now and then it seems like she does it just to be mean.

She can also be quite bossy.

Any ideas

I am confused. He has a long distance girlfriend which I didn't know about. He insists we stay in touch, and it has went to the physical. I understand everything, even though it hurts so very much, but I'm not sure of him right now. I was dating him for about 2 1/2 years, we've been broken up for about 5 months now. We broke up because I just needed a break because he was moving too fast & getting to serious, & that scared me; eventhought I do want to be with him. I guess the whole idea kinda scared me at first. I am a married woman for almost 2 years.... And ever since i had my child, it seems though my husband and i never really have any intimacy. He never brings up the subject and always tells me his problem is that he has a low sex drive. I really don't want to see it as we got married, we have a kid thats it for romance. So there's a guy that I really like, and we've been hanging out a lot lately, always holdin hands, kissin, ended up staying at our friends house and slept together... I know he really likes me, and I'm not just a booty call or anything, but my one hesitation is that he smokes weed. I said this was something I would never have in my life, but I don't know if I should count him out just because of it??? He smokes, like, everyday, but he still works 12 hrs a day, 7 days a week and owns his own business....I know I can't convince him to quit, because no one will quit for someone else, they have to want it. But, should I start dating him even tho he smokes and hope that he realizes down the road that he should quit, or should i just write him off completely?? If its just casual dating and nothing serious, is it ok? But don't move into anything serious unless he stops?? Any advice would be helpful! Thanks!!!
