It all depends on the girl. Some girls have cramps, some don't. Some girls get bloated and some don't. If you are in pain on your period, it is totally normal. If you don't feel pain then that is normal too.

Nope not really. You will experience cramps in your stomach but that can be cleared up with Advil, Tyenol, mydol, or motrin. But some people do not have cramps or headaches. I did when I first started mine but as I got older I don't really have them now and I"m 30 year old.

It is nothing to be afraid of. Just be prepared. Be clean with it by disposing your pads/tampons appropriately. What I mean by that is wrap them up very good with toilet tissue b/f throwing them in the trash can. (The pad!) And of course, the tampon can be flushed down the toilet except for the plastic indicator. I always have a mind thing about it b/c I think I take more showers. I don't want to smell either. If you are not clean with changing regularly, you will smell. So with you being the age of 15, you need to carry your pads in your purse and try to change as often as possible. I know some teachers are really strike about allowing students to go the bathroom but maybe you can change during class changes. Also wear dark clothes, do not wear light colored clothes while your period is on. If you have an accident, you can hide it with dark clothes but light clothes will show everything. Be cautious with that as well. It never hurt to talk with your teacher secretively about it either so she can be aware that you are going to change not horse around in the halls or anything like that.
Overall that is it as far as your period goes. It is a drag but it is a part of life. Unfortunately, it is something every woman has to go through. And you know what? At the age of 15, you will be happy to see it b/c I'm sure you don't want a baby in exchange, right? Welcome to woman hood!!!!

Sometimes. It really depends on the girl. You get cramps (think of someone kicking you in the stomach) and headaches, and boating (feeling like you are full of water). But most of the time over the counter medicine will help all of this. If not you just have to go see your doctor and he/she will work something out for you. Sometimes even birth control will reduce these problems or if you have a heavy period you can use birth control to regulate your period. Point is, getting your period proves that you are becoming a mature women. It may be a pain sometimes, but nothing you won't be able to over come!

Some women it does hurt like the cramping and others have no problems at all. I don't think you should worry yourself crazy about something you have no control over. If you do have problems be open with your Mom so she can get things to help you feel more comfortable during this time. You also can't go by your Moms periods. It is different for every person and usually when you are younger you don't have as many hormonal problems like you do when you are older and had children.

For some they hardly notice they are even om their period except for the changing of the pad or tampon and for others they cramp in their abdomen and lower back and sometimes legs!! Also you may never cramp and start cramping later or start out cramping and as time goes on the cramping may lighten through out the years.. All of our bodies are different! Don't be scared it is a natural thing. There are midol and other things to take to help with the cramps if you have them.. Just talk to "mom" Welcome to growing up!!!

It depends. Each woman is different. Before I had my daughter I had the lightest periods for only 3 - 4 days. I only cramp on the first two days as well. You don't even remember you're on your period except when you go to the bathroom.

Stock up on ibuprofen or Midol. Ibuprofen is a woman's best friend. You can't live without it when you're on your period.

You'll probably start your period any time now.

Not really. Sometimes you get cramps, which is a bit of pain in your lower tummy, but it's generally not too bad. If you do get cramps, you can take pain killers such as midol or advil to ease the pain. If you have very aggrivating cramps, the birth control pill can help alleviate the symptoms and regulate your period if it is irregular.

Sometimes you get cramping and it's uncomfortable. Some women have various PMS symptoms - headaches, backaches, irritability etc... Mostly this can be easily managed with Motrin or Tylenol. When it disrupts your everyday life, a doctor can prescribe something stronger. Birth control pills may also mitigate the disruption.

I'm just goin to be blunt with you. It hurts like hell, You will be curled up in a little ball in your bed most of your period until you atleast get kinda used to the pain. But honestly, I don't even think that happens. Just take some Motrin right when your period comes on to prevent the pain & you should be good.
