I don't want to say dumb things like, "don't cry," and I don't need to advice on finding them counceling. I just want to help comfort them when they turn to me. I feel so awkward, but I really want to help my friend feel better. She was suppose to visit her grandfather because he was sick, but before she could he passed away. Today. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks

As soon as i get home i go in my room and lock the door. I only come out for dinner and i bring that in my room. For some reason i think my parents are a little dorky now. They make jokes that arent funny and stuff like that. I tried coming out to spend quality time with them and they watched TV shows that i hate. Sometimes they just go to sleep. So i come in my room and get on the computer and watch tv. I get really bored easily. What should i do to spend time with my parents on weekdays?

So i have been trying to gradually separate myself from my mom, just a little. I am 15 and we have been close forever, but i need my space. However, whenever i try to pull away she gets mad and tries to cling even more. I really don't want to tell her i am trying to separate, but i feel she is being irrational. I just want some space, but she is making it so difficult. Please help me do this gently, i don't want to hurt her or make a thing of this.

I married my husband because he's genuine, kind, funny,laid back, etc... and he's great w/ kids. Latley, he's been grouchy and distant and just kind assholey all around. I haven't changed a bit, but I'm about to. I told him that if he didn't stop being an asshole, he could go be one somewhere else. I know that having 2 children under 5, more bills and more work probably has something to do w/ it. But I don't believe he's the cheating kind, I think he's just in a rut. What should I do? I was put in an awful situation before (twice) by husband,(I have spoken on here about it before, and had some really great support from everyone,but havent had courage to leave.) Ive spoken to him about it and he said that he was wrong! but he wont promise he wont put me in the same situation again! He does think that I should have forgotten about it, as he admitted he shouldnt have done it.(he cant cope with being wrong!!!)
We have a memorial service to go to this week for hubbys ex boss that Ive known for nearly 40 yrs,but the female collegue will be there. I wanted to go until I thought that she will be there & probably be all cosey with hubby. She will probably do it deliberately,she has before,she knows Im getting over total breakdown. I told husband I didnt know if I could go, he just said, "oh well thats upto you". When I said that I was worried I would be put in bad situ again he just looked at me! He thinks Im the one in the wrong! Any ideas on how to go & stay strong
