If you have children together~It isn't like your duty to buy your wife a mother's day gift... but for example, I give my grandma's mother's day presents and I say Happy Mother's Day to other women who aren't my mother. And my husband gives me a mother's day present like flowers or something. And even if she is pregnant, she is pregnant with your child and that would make her a soon to be mother!!!You don't have to get your wife something but you should just to show her how much you care about her. But if you don't have children and you want children then on Mother's Day show her how dedicated you are to your lives together and starting a family... Good luck and God bless you and your family!

It would be nice. She's not YOUR mother, but she's the mother of YOUR children (assuming she's a mother since you're asking about a mother's day gift). If the kid(s) are too young to do it themselves, you can help out and all get her something together.

If your wife have children/child then yes because Mothers Day celebrates all of the mothers not just yours.

I understand what you mean but she is the mother of your kids ... that makes her a mother.. it dont matter who's.. show her a little appreciation.. I am sure come fathers day she gets you something even though you arent her dad...
if you choose not to get a gift at least get a card..

Giving a gift to ANY mother is acceptable. Which is why alot of churches give the elder mothers gifts or flowers on Mother's Day. They are not the "church's" mother, but they are a MOTHER nonetheless. Mother's Day honors all mothers, and if your wife is a mother, you should honor her.

Different families have different traditions. When I was growing up, in our family the kids gave mom a card (maybe a small present), but my dad didn't give mom anything. However I know some women who are deeply hurt if their husband does not give them a mother's day present, flowers, dinner at a restaurant, etc.

It would be best to talk with your wife about what her expectations are.

Or if you are not comfortable doing that, just get her a present. If she's not expecting one, she'll think it's sweet.

There is no need to buy a mothers day gift for your wife unless you have a child..Mothers day is a day for mothers jsut like fathers day is a day for fathers

I don't think it's necessary, especially if you have children who can do the gift giving. However, after having said that, I have found, after 41 years of marriage, that it never hurts to give your wife a gift no matter what the occasion, mothers day, fathers day, groundhog day, you name it!!

Personally, I think not, unless you have little ones who are too young to shop for themselves, to buy for her. A nice card would be good. She is the mother of your children. I have seen cards out there for husband's to give to their wives for Mother's Day. You could give her a single flower (or one for the number of children you have), and give them to her as her being the mother of your children. Or, like my dad would do, come Mother's Day, we all would go out to a nice dinner, he paid for it. If anything, that could be your gift to her. I hope this helps answer your question. Take care.

God... Man up and get something nice for your wife. Even if you don't have kids, she could be the mother of your children one day. Don't look at it as a choir. She's gonna love you so much more just because you thought enough to get her something.
