I am interested in this one guy and a friend of mine (who is not one of his friends) told him about it. He told my friend that he was not interested in me and that he would let me know. Instead the guy i am interested in gave me his Email address and invited me out. Is he taking advantage of me, or is he genuinly interested? My crush isnt a very popular guy and most people would no associate me with him - if that makes a difference to answering the question.

Hard to say honestly, He could be genuinely interested but it isn't exactly clear since this sounds like this is the first time that you have actually communicated with him. Maybe he wanted to tell you personally that he may be interested in you instead of relaying it through your friend but whatever the case may be, giving you his e-mail address gives you the option to talk with him and get to know him at the comfort of the computer. Communication is the first step with getting to know someone. Use it :)

Take your time But...I don't see how he can take advantage of you by asking you out and as for email address so what it is just a form of communicating if he gives you his phone number after the first date then maybe he is serious you are not obligated to do anything you do not want to do

Don't let him down so soon. You have to give him some chances. Although at this point in time, he seems like he's just being nice to you..to be honest.

Right now it doesn't seem as if he has an interest in you, but that can shance very quickly. If he's nice enough to ask you that, maybe he wants to get to know you after all!

Im not sure if he likes you, but I think he just might be interested in getting to know you a little more. Options are a great thing to have and I think that this could work out for the both of you

Give the guy a chance. If you keep thinking of being taken advantage even before going out, I don't think you can make it with any guy.
