I discovered recently that my dad is having an affair. My mum knows, and she didn't tell me or my sister; although my sister made jokes about it because my dad would spend hours with his phone and became very protective of it - and I shouted at her, saying he wasn't that kind of person. My sister still doesn't know, but me and my mum talk about it; she is only slightly irritated, but not angry. Whenever she confronts him subtly (maybe hinting at liking somebody too much) he goes nuts...but only verbally. I am not afraid of him physically hurting my mum because I know he wouldn't go that far.

Unfortunately we were on holiday and my dad took the dog for a walk. He left his phone on charge and I browsed through it, seeing very deep messages between him and this woman. I was more disgusted at his replies.

My mum only works as a reception teacher, and she couldn't afford (money-wise) to live without him. I am distraught, not knowing what to do. Can anyone please suggest anything?

my fiance and i have been going out for two years, i love him sooo much. He's perfect, sweet, kind, loving understanding and a genius in Columbia medical school currently doing residence at 24. He is goreuous 6'9, broad sholders, tan, black hair, blue eyes, in amazing shape. One problem he is a virgin, by choice philosophical/religous reasons.I lied to him and said i was. He is Catholic, doesn't act holier than thou and very understanding. A friend of mine dated him for a while she told him that she wasn't a virgin from the start, they were together for awhile, she said he was wonderful, understanding and always a gentlemen she said he said it happens, id be lying if i said i didnt wish you were, but love you and thats what matters, she wants him back and she knows i lied. Anyway, we were dating for two months and he told me I though he was kidding and said i was. its true friends told me, and i lied more i was scared. I love him so much. this week made me feel awful

The verbal abuse is only when we are arguing, We can't have a agruement without I being called all kinds of dirty names. I am a very conservative and faithful young woman and never have been called names like this before in a relationship, I know he is angry at the time and other than these times he is a good guy. I try talking, he apologizes and does it again. He says he's trying.

A few months ago my husband said he had a job offer, but it was in a very tiny conservative town, so I was not thrilled. He convinced me to give it a visit and we both thought the job offer sounded positive. Then the pay rate changed and we had trouble finding livable housing in our price range. I asked him to back out because what they were offering after looking at the housing prices and the schools, etc. things weren't looking too promising. I didn't feel good about backing out, but I thought it would be better than making a bad move. Too make a long story short he told me he would drag me there kicking and screaming and that I would like it there.
Now we are here, and I have had to deal with rats, termites and undrinkable water in a house I was wishy washy about but he fell in love with. I have really tried hard to get problems taken care of, exterminators out, etc. I've had to give up some of my old activities for this move. Am I justified in being angry at my hubby?

I am currently trying to plan my wedding and we both really liked Silver for the color of the wedding but a lot of people are telling me that Silver is used for 25th Anniversaries only and that I should choose another color. I thought about using Champagne but I cannot get Silver out of my mind. Please give me your opinions. Thanks!

I think I'm in love with my best friend! We do everything together, like the same books and moves, and laugh all the time when we're together. We even used to compare stories of our respective relationships, and it just so happened that we're both single right now. I'm not sure when it hit me that I'm really really attracted to her. Now that I'm aware of my attraction though, I feel really self-conscious around her now. I catch myself staring at her, and every once in a while, she gives me this funny look and says "are you OK?" I'm not sure how she feels about me. I mean, she says stuff like, "you're the greatest" and "anybody would be so lucky to be with you" and even

"I love you" though I think she means it more in a friendly way. I'm scared to make a move. The most important thing is that I don't lose her as a friend, but sometimes

I'd think about what an amazing couple we'd make though if we were to become more than friends. I'm paralyzed about what to do with my f

In some states a married woman who divorces is entitled to 1/2 a mans assets and sometimes alimony when divorced even tho she came into the marriage earning 1/2 as much as the man and had no savings. I can understand this if kids are involved or if it was a long marriage but why should a man who has educated himself and worked hard at his chosen profession so he could earn more have to split his assets with a woman who has contributed far less to the finances of the marriage? Understandably if there are children involved or its a long standing marriage the assets should be split but i can see no reason why a man should have to give up half of everything he has saved and earned over his lifetime to a woman he may only have been married to for a short time.

We have been living together since November and he has probably washed the dishes 3 times. We have two sons who require most of my attention when I am at home, one is 2 yrs and one is 6 months, I work and go to school full time. When I am home I have to feed the kids shower them and myself, feed the little one a lot because I breastfeed, and clean and cook for us, and in between all that I still have to find time to do my homework to keep my grades up. How can I make him understand that it is not easy for me to do all of this alone, he cant even watch both of the kids while I shower! What can I do? When I am not home he just watches tv or is on the computer, meanwhile the house is a mess. Do you think this is right of him? His mom and sister are housewives so he wants me to do that as well but with his income we will not make it with me at home. Please give me some good advice....

I know just talking about fantasies is good for a relationship, but should you act? What if it involved another person? Is it okay if it is just the couple involved? Would talking about the fantasy help a relationship, or could it hurt it? So many questions...I look forward to your answers.

We have been together a few years, and I can admitt that for the first year or so I was a little posessive of him. I can say I was wrong for that, but lately a lot of evidence has popped up without me even looking for it. The most recent piece of the puzzle was a text message it went somthing like "I didnt work today, I called verizon" I didn't reconize the number it was sent to so I called it and no surprise it was a female's voice on the other end. He also has a second cell phone that I have found on 2 occasions. each time I confront him he says I'm making false accusations. what can I do?
