Well if it isn't yours and no one else lives there You have to know it's his and he lied.

If you found a glass pipe under the couch cushion it means that your husband/child is doing drugs. Common sense. Get out of the relationship if it's your husband before he breaks you and abuse you.

The odds of that being his pipe are 99 in 100. He is your husband and if he knows his wife, who does not agree with the use of "illegal drugs" in her home, then he definitely doesn't want you to know. Of course your bigger issue is that if he IS using, the glass pipe in the couch is not your problem. It's what is yet to come. Pay attention to his mood-swings, keep track of his money usage, missing c.d.'s, games, etc. You will find out. What' s done in the dark will always come to light. If you love him enough, you will want to help him. There is hope. DOn't give up on him too quickly.

Well do you have kids? If not or they're too young, like 7 or below then he's probably lying. Unless someone brought it over and it someone how fell out their pocket and slid in between the seat cushion.
If he hasn't touched it, you could get really extreme and do a fingerprint test. Without his knowledge of course.. lol
Thats a bit extreme but think about who's been at your house recently. Maybe he's lying or maybe he's telling the truth.

You can narrow it down to the people who have sat on your couch since you last took up the cushions.
You know how you find loose change under cushions because it falls out of someones pocket, the same thing could have happened with the pipe. It could belong anyone who was sitting on your sofa who had that in his pocket.

how long have you had the couch? do you have a lot of visitors? do others live with you? sounds like someone is smoking something other than tobacco. if it's meth, be very concerned-that's always a downward spiral and he'll take you with him. if it's pot, that's not nearly as bad. potheads are lazy and inattentive but too slow and mellow to be very dangerous. methheads may or may not start out dangerous but become so as the meth melts away their brains and they become irreversibly stupid, cranky, and unpredictable. after a while, he'll sell you on the streets to get more meth. signs of meth use to look for are yellow eyes and teeth, weight loss, hyperactivity, and mood swings. pot makes for red eyes, lethargy, increased appetite, and a tendency to laugh at things that might not be very funny. for your sake i hope it's just a little reefer. i don't think anyone ever died from it, so just put on some tye-dye, crank up the moody blues, and mellow out a bit.

Chances are he's smoking crack. There is the slight chance it's for weed though. You have to smell it to know. Do you have a friend who knows the difference between a crack pipe and a pot pipe?
If it is colored and has a nice design, then it's for weed. Potheads like things that look cool. They also aren't trying to save all their money for the drug.
But if it's just a clear, long, plain pipe it's probably crack. They are clear, usually just a couple of bucks. And since crackheads are trying to spend their money on crack rather then a cool looking pipe, this would be their instrument of choice.
If it's crack, please get out immediately. Nothing but heartache and pain comes with that life. NOTHING!!! Please trust your gut, chances are it's right.

depends on the amount of people at your house at once. If not a lot of people are there than you have a higher percentage that your husband is lying. But if you had a party or even a small get together the percentage decreases, but not by a lot because who would be smoking (any substance) in your house without you knowing about it? The smells are quite pungent for someone that doesn't do that stuff. sorry about your predicament.

If you can not trust your husband you have a bigger problem than drugs. But give him the benefit of the doubt here. Now if you notice patterns developing, then it will be time for some explaining. You need to do some detective work. Ask around about your husband and his habits. Hell ask him to take a drug test if you dont believe him. If he declines then you will know something is up.

Is he or anyone else in the house doing any kind of drugs> sounds like a crack pipe.
Ask him again and tell him that you want an honest answer. keep a close eye on him in the future. glass pipes don't just appear by themselves, someone put it there
