I've asked several questions in the past if "good guys" (of which I am one) get girls. I'm a 19 year old college student, never had a gf and get spurned by all the girls. All the answers I've gotten here from girls basically say that one day, those girls will come flocking to me when they realized that the bad boys abused them.

I find this incredibly insulting. It's saying that when those girls get thrown out by their "bad boy" boyfriend, they will come to us because they think we're available and desperate. In other words, we're their second choice since they couldn't stay with the bad boys they wanted. You know what? I WOULD RATHER NEVER GET MARRIED AND DIE A VIRGIN THAN LOWER MYSELF TO THAT LEVEL!!!!! This is the way the dating game in life works? I don't need this. I don't need to settle for second best. I'm going to focus on my friends and my education/career and live a happy life from that (like several of my family members ultimately did).

I like this guy named Patrick. We spent last Saturday together and had a blast in the snow. H eacted like he really cared and later that night i met him after work. We talked and that's when he said he liked me. We kissed and then we went home. The worst thing is everything happened in front of my little sister, so i have a witness and he can't say he didn't do this or that. I found out this morning that he likes someone else by my best friend Kyle. I'm confused....plz help me!!!

I am getting Married in 2009 in Quebec, Canada. I have heard different things about the costs of changing my last name for his name. I am now wondering, would it just be cheaper to get married in Ontario? Does anyone know?

My boyfriend & I had an arguement last night because when he went to open the door for me when I got to his house I didn't come in right away because I was on the phone with my sister. Then when I did come in I checked my voicemail at which point I wasn't saying anything but just holding the phone to my ear & listening & then I hung up. He automatically starts to get an attitude & ignores me & won't tell me what the problem is. So I started to get my coat & was about to leave. Then he went into all these issues but wouldn't say what the problem was. I know it had to do with me being on the phone but why was he acting like that because I was on the phone? He would never tell me why his mood changed. Are these trust issues or what's up with that?

i have been with a girl for 18months, im 23 and she is 19. amonth ago she broke up with me, because she said i put her in a box. we also broke up beacause in a week she met someone, who is now pressuring her into sex....she has an addictive personality...and is having trouble with dieet pills. and selfesteem issues. she cries with me but goes back to him because she is dependant on him....socially, and transportation wise, he works with her....she has a problem with rejection....her father left when she was a baby...shes depressed but keeps on a mask when other people are near...how can i help her before she goes overboard with this guy and messes up her self? i want to help, not be her boyfriend right now, she has to find herself first. but is getting stuck in a cycle.i know she needs to make the choices. but she doesnt know the negative effect such things can have...how can i empower(by making it her decision, not mine)her to make the right decision for herself before it is too late?

My Maid of honor and aunt are throwing my soon to be husband and I a couples shower instead of a traditional bridal shower. We were just curious, what kinds of gifts do people bring to a couples shower? Is it the same as the wedding gifts? Does this mean that we will be getting two different gifts from people or does this mean we will only get gifts at the shower and not the wedding?

I am 54 years old and my wife died when she was 51 years old. She loved me so much. I did not have any feelings for her. We have been together for at least 30+ years. I never had children with her but I did started having sex with her since I was 28 years old. She died from an accident. I didn't kill her. I told her "I love you" countless times. My feelings for her weren't that deep. If I left her, I wouldn't have anymore sex and she'd be heartbroken and I would start paying for child support if she did got pregnant. I never fell in love with her. If I did fell in love with her, I know I would be very sad right now, but good thing I didn't fell in love with her. I can imagine myself leaving her and not being sad. I don't feel bad at all for her death. I had to pretend to be crying on her funeral to let her family think that I was sad. To be honest, I am not sad. Before she died, she said, "I am very happy to have met you in my life." When she was alive, I treated her like a queen.

He said he wasn't looking for a relationship and we could kick it now and then and he asked if I would want to hook up with him. I haven't been with anyone since my long-term boyfriend passed away unexpectedly 2 yrs. ago. I told him that I was fine with everything because I'm not looking for anything serious either. We have been seeing each other at least once a week, but he has called me to meet up at other times. I never made it out to be more than it is, but he always spends the night with me (I tell him he can leave- he says he doesn't want to and even asks me to cuddle with him when going to sleep). My friend told me that his best friend said that this guy really likes me and being with me, but he likes the hook up too. I told them that I knew this and am fine with the arrangement. Now, he is tripping on me- saying that I am in love with him, that I don't like being alone, that I need to watch my back with my friends (he won't elaborate on this comment), etc. What happened? Help!

I am not sure if I am over-reacting or not.

His mother has always been very kind to me. However, she has spolit her son rotten! He still lives at home and she washes all his clothes, cooks his meals, whatever she can do for him, she does it!

He runs his own businesses and works all the time and he says he doesn't have the time to do stuff for himself. Which is true he rushes about from morning to night.

He asked me a few day ago to call in to the post office and post a letter for him. I refused cos i seen no reason why he couldn't drop it in himself and I didn't want to start a habit. His mother then done it.

Theres are lots of issues like this that come up. He has told me, if I didn't get up in the morning to make his breakfast, he would go to his mothers. His mother and father live right beside where we are gonna live when we get married.

He does do things for me so am I being lazy or I am right not to do every he tells me to?

Any tips how to handle this?
