I am 27 years old. I did not start dating until I was 18. Mainly because my mom was not having it. But know that I have gotten older I realize why she did it. A lot of girls I went to high school with started dating when they were 14 or 15 now have 3 and 4 kids and the fathers are nowhere to be found. I have Batchelors and I just got married and I have about to start working on my Masters. I do not know what you plans are for the future but you have many years to date. Focus on what is important....which is school and believe me boys will come a dime a dozen........

37 ..... by then your hormones and emotions should be in check... :)
Really about 17 or 18 I know that's not what you want to hear but you will have a better understanding of life and the ups and downs...
Everyone is in a hurry to grow up. DON'T enjoy your youth it is gone in a flash.....
I told my son HS years are the best no responsibility and lots of freedom enjoy it while you can.... (he's 24 now) and he agrees with me now at the time he didn't..... My daughter started dating at 15 (I didn't know) she is now a 26 yo single mother of 5 a hard life.
So go out in packs it's more fun and safer,
Have a great life!!! good luck

You are the right age but don't get serious dating until your have a couple of years on you. What looks good to you now ...you will only laugh about two years from now....trust me...keep a diary but don't let anyone read this as you will get a kick of how your emotions changes in just a few short years..I dare you!!!..then burn the damn thing if you get a serious relationship as guys flip out if their girlfriend was more then them...lol

No sooner than 16 and then I think it should be closely monitored.
It's so easy to be influenced by guys and I don't think anyone younger than 16 can deal with the pressures that are put on them. There are plenty of years to experience dating. Don't get ahead of the game, enjoy your youth and innocense as it will be gone soon enough!

I don't think there is a certain age, because age is only a number. It's how mature you are, I started when I was 16 or 17 because I was secure and happy with myself.
