From the consistency of answers to my previous question (previous info below):

Is moving\changing from a close friendship into a relationship a big step/difference? Can the girl really be that afraid? Would she tell you that is her main concern? If so, will you always just remain friends or will it gradually change over time?

When do you know if you’re ready for a relationship?(both in early twenties)What is the difference, if you technically act like a couple already? Is it only the physical aspect?(kissing/sex/holding hands).

Anything I can\should do? She DON’t like speaking about it….

Am really a dumbarse in this area!!

my father was an alcoholic and did'nt come home for days sleeping around, i watched my mum cry alot as i grew up but at the age of 12 they seperated. i think i was affected and ended up being abused by an old man. one day when my father took me away for a weekend he asked to feel my brest. so at 15 i thought this as abuse, my mum found out but thought it was more serious and i lied which as a result have been living a lie for 15 years. and i feel so bad and the guilt is eating me up. my dad did beat my mum, and i have heard he tried to rape a woman i don't know how true this is.. i don't know why i said yes to my mum i have tried to tell my mum it is not true but she goes absolutly mad and i hate to see her like that, at the moment i feel just like writing out the truth and disappearing. my younger brother is keeping in contact with him which hurts my mum and stepfather. please help me should i just tell my dad the truth

tonight my bf asked me to marry him and because i no it is true love i said yes even tho we have only been together for 6 months. we live together but my mum doesnt like him scince i moved in with him how do i tell her that we are engaged?i no this is the person i want to spend the rest of my life with and we were really good friends before w got together. i love every little thing about him (even his snoring that keeps me awake at night)everything i wouldnt change a thing about him and it was only when i moved out of my mums she started to not like him before then she loved him as she said he was a proper gentleman and she hadnt seen me so happy for years.so now that she dont like him how do i tell her as she can be violent and agressive and i dont want her to giveme aload of abuse i was thinking of writing her a letter to tell her so she can read it as i will find it easier to explain things to her like that as she wont be constantly interupting me and then wait and see what happens

I found out about 8 months ago that my husband cheated on me. He was working out of town and met a girl where he was at. I had been 100% faithfull to him. I found out April 17, I asked him not to lie to me and to tell me the whold truth, I can try to forgive if I know what happened. Anyways, he lied to my until July 26 about sleeping with this girl, even though he knew that I knew. Even then I still stayed with him, but again I asked him to please tell me the truth. He told me more things but I still thought he was lying about things. about a month ago he finially admitted some more things to me. It was just to much to take. He told me how he was talking to this girl about ther break up with her boyfriend, then they started hanging out, then they had sex.. The whole time I am sitting at home with his two kids trying to call him, and he was out with her. The thing is after this last time of finding out things, I told him that I wanted to seperate. We are still living together.

recently, I was at a party, and this guy was trying to get my phone number, and in the process, kept asking me intimate questions, such as where do I live, and how much money do I earn. I really didn't want to offend him, but could not think of a way of answering him without giving away any details, but still not seeming rude. I suppose this is more or less directed to those who are/been married or is/getting engaged, however everyones opinion is welcomed.

I'm curious to know if you knew that they were 'the one', or did it not come to you until later? How did you know they were the one - was it feeling, instinct, or...? Did you ever feel as though you weren't in love with them at one point or another? Or maybe that they weren't the one?


The overall reason in writing such a topic is basically I thought he was what I wanted, and I would've given everything to make it all work. Now I'm sat questioning if that's what I really want, and if I even love the guy like I had thought I did -- yet I still want him (maybe I'm emotionally addicted or something?), but I don't know if thats my own guilt in the fact he never did anything for me to suddenly change my feelings. Has anyone ever experience such a feeling?

my ex dumped me about a month or two ago, which was a 4 month relationship. Then after about 3 weeks of us breaking up one of my friends asked if i would care if they were to go out, I said no cause i didnt want him to know that i really wasnt over him yet (but i really was aching with jealousy of them going out). I cried many times over this, nut i dont want to tell my friend cause she is like madly in love with him now.
