my ex dumped me about a month or two ago, which was a 4 month relationship. Then after about 3 weeks of us breaking up one of my friends asked if i would care if they were to go out, I said no cause i didnt want him to know that i really wasnt over him yet (but i really was aching with jealousy of them going out). I cried many times over this, nut i dont want to tell my friend cause she is like madly in love with him now. So is there something i can do to try and get over him or tell my friend in a way which wont hurt her i need serious help!!

Tell her exactly what you wrote here. You just wanted to make it seem like you were over him because you really want to be, but now that shes going out with him and you hear about them or whatever it really tugs at your heart.

I dont know, I think your friend is more valuable in this situation so just try to make it work with her. Maybe she doesn't like him that much anyways.

Girl, you just need to have an open mindset about this whole dating thing. Try going out on casual dates. That way, you meet new interesting and different people to distract you away from the bitter realities of your past life. Or you could pick up a new hobby! Try doing something that you've never done before or hone on the your aqquired skills. It will boost your self-confidence and naturally you will attract the attention you need. What about doing some charity work? Pitying yourself for your suffering doesnt help, you need to ease others of their sufferings and make their miserable lives easier in order to forget your own bittersweet memories of past experiences. Just leave him and your friend on their own. Who knows...maybe you deserve someone even better?

Well, your friend did try to be reasonable by asking you how you'd feel before she made the move...you could've been more honest. Maybe tell her how you feel now - she won't dump him but at least she won't be so "loved up" when she's around you, talking about him etc.

... find someone else and forget about him. it will probably be hard but you went out with him for 4 months it aint like you was gonna marry him. plusyour friend was nice enough to wait a while and asked your permission, so if she really really likes him then dont try to stop it.

i think u and ur ex r not meant to be together so u should get over him by not meeting him and ur friend for a while...go on a vacation...meditate...meet new people... u'll forget abt him. Dont worry God has better plans for u :)
