i am single 42 own house car etc,but have 2 kids soon as i mention this they run a mile!!

Ok this might sound a little selfish and I guess it really is in a way. My husband and I just got married this past Sunday. After the wedding and reception my parents and friends stayed to clean up everything and gather all of the gifts up for us. Well... there were no gifts to get. Besides all of the people who came to my shower, not one person even gave us a card for our wedding. Should I be irritated or just get over it? I understand times are tough, but don't you think they should have at least bought us a card? His own mother didn't even give us a gift and she didn't spend one dime on our wedding! Let me know what you think. Thanks!

P.S. His family never had any objections about us getting married just to let you all know.

My husband died from cancer, he was only 45, he didn't want to go as they say, his death was not peaceful. Some people get signs that their loved ones are ok, I have not gotten anything and it has been two years now.

Asking this question for a friend.

I have two friends one is a girl and one is a guy the guy really likes the girl. He tried asking her out before and she said no. Last week they where talking and she told him some stuff, it went like this. In one hand she really likes him but in the other she is scared. She is scared about what her parents might think; what her friends might say, she is just scared. She takes the easy way out and says no. Does anyone have any advice that could help her over come her fear?

As one of her other friends he is a great guy. Also the one friend she is worried about likes the guy a lot and they did date back in the beginning of the year but now there just best friends and he did asked her out way before that and once again after. fyi there both over 18

Why do some guys think it's ok to be in a relationship and say you love your girl, but find it so easy to not call or leave some type of message for three weeks and when the girl gets upset and starts asking quiestions, you seem so surprised at her reaction. Don't you guys think she has a right to be upset and wonder if you have forgotten about her or are cheating? I guess guys and girls do think differently, but if you love someone please be considerate of her feelings and realize all the things that may be going through her mind when she doesn't hear from you or you don't return her calls. Do you guys feel females are just too sensitive? Please answer honestly and seriously.....I really am curious about this. Thanks guys in advance.

The private detective we hired 3 years ago said that my sister was seen around a store, he told us over a private meeting we had few days ago. The detective doesn't know where she is at yet but sources said she could be living here in the same city. My mother doesn't know about this meeting or the detective, just my brother and i know, we rather keep this secret from mom, we don't want to giver her false hope. She was 12 at that time now 16 so we don't rule out the possibility she was kidnapped but we still want to know why if she is in a public place; why doesn't she run or do something to attract attention. There are so many holes that need to be filled i just don't know anymore if we should continue hoping to find her.

Ok, so..this “guy” and I were together about a yr ago for maybe a month tops, & I realized that I didn’t have feelings for him in that way.He is a great guy and I didn’t want to ruin our friendship (we had known each other for a while) so I pretty much told him that “we” couldn’t work, but I still cared about him and I didn’t want us to grow apart etc. I’ve always felt that I could talk to him about anything, and we still talked and saw each other quite often. Friends kept saying that I was leading him on just by talking to him, and he has told me many times that he doesn’t think he will ever be over me etc. but I’d just try to let it go.I moved, life changed, so on and so forth,but we still talked and just up until recently it’s been that way.I was talking to some people about what had happened with us, and I’m afraid they said something..he has completely stopped talking to me, won’t return my calls etc.I’m just wondering what I did.I mean did he just realize he can't stand me? My boyfriend of 6mo fell off the face of the earth for the last 2weeks. I am not going to get into it but lets just say that these past 2weeks have been realy hard for me (for reasons outside of the relationship... My health is failing, my job sucks, money is gone, my living situation is getting to me) and I really needed him for some support. He came over last night and we made a fairly mutual decision to break up but after he left he called and said he wanted to come back and talk. I let him come back. He said he wanted to try to make things work between us and I would love nothing more than to have a relationship with him. part of me is telling me it isn't right and the other part is telling me to go for it. after everything form the last couple weeks I am ready to shut down completely. it is even hard for me to type this right now (because of everything). I need some advice please.

I have a one year old son, Gavin. His biological father has never called or wanted anything to do with him and said he wants to sign over his rights. I am married now and my husband thinks of Gavin as his own. His bio. father's mom used to call me all the time and want to see Gavin, and threatened me some, and made me a little uneasy about the whole deal.
I know that she wanted to be involved with Gavin's life, and she was very hurt by the situation, b/c I didn't let her see Gavin....reason is that, I knew she was trying to push her son into being a dad. I didn't want Gavin to grow up feeling neglected by him and confused, though. Not to mention he wasn't willing to grow up and help me and pay child support. So,now I am feeling guilty about not letting her see him, b/c it's not her fault that her son is a jerk. My husband wants to adopt Gavin after the bio. father signs over his rights. If she would leave her son out of it, then do you think I should let her see him??

So, I dated this guy for 5 months. We told each other that we loved each other and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. Then the infamous ex gf came to him and asked him to get back with her. After a few weeks, he did. So, I am stuck still loving him and being sad, while he get's to be with the "one he never got over". So, last week he asked me to leave him alone so he could ,"move on" with his life. Basically, he wants to not feel guilty about leaving me. He said it was a hard decision because he loved everthing about me. He said, maybe someday we could be friends. So, I am waiting. It's been 8 days since we had any communication. I'm not sure I even want to be his friend, but I do miss him. Should I write to him, or wait for him to come to me, or just write him off? I do Love him.

For over a year i didnt have much issue with my sister in law apart from the odd wee fall out but i never felt i wanted her to leave..until now. For the past couple of months, she has been getting on my nerves more and more. I dont get a whole lot of time alone with my husband and a lot of that is to do with her being home. Tonight he is coming home earlier from work and rather than him coming straight home, he is going to collect her from town(she asked him) and will probably be well over an hour to do so. Then of course she will be home and it will be the 3 of us sitting here and me simmering with rage!!!!! Please no suggestions that we should go out ..we dont have a lot of money to spare at the moment. Should i just let it go or get into another fight with them, the tension in the house is getting to me so i think i should try to bite my tongue rather than have another fight. Should i just go to be and watch tv?? GRRRRRRRRRRRR i need a few prozac!!!

Life is so hard at times. I have a man in my life that completely understands me. Sometimes I don’t have to say and word and he knows what going on with me.
Lately I’ve been thinking about our relationship and weather it should be taken further then the step that it’s currently at. We’ve been dating for two years and we see each other very often. He currently has custody of his two children and I have a 4 year old from a previous relationship. I love him dearly and I don’t want to loose him. He’s asked me to move in with him and I’m willing to because I want to be a part of his life but at the same time I think it’s a big step. I’ve met his children and we get along it’s just I’m afraid I’ll be a disappointment. Why am I feeling this way ?

I went out with this guy for 2 yrs..(on and off) but about a year ago we broke up and now we're back together.. During the 2 yrs we never had sex and now I think that since we're both older and I expect wiser.. Maybe we should do it. But I'm second-guessing myself.
