You sound like my husband..i gave him a lecture this morning coz he cant just enjoy a couple of drinks and quit. He gets greedy on it.

Dignity is not something that you lose,by getting blotto.Genuine dignity would have sustained your ability to control yourself. Obviously, you haven't acquired that. Look up the definition. See Yourself!

ive been an alcoholic for 15 years its never the last drink its the first try and have water in between drinks you wont get as pissed failing that have fun you only live once

alcohol is a evil thing it makes us do things we would never normally do, but hey im with ya im the same im the 1 left at the end of the bar getting P*I*S*S*E*D if u fancy a get together and we can do the dignity thing lol. x

Ive been there. It took me a long time to figure this one out. Go out with a number in your head. My number is 3. After my third drink, I stop. Make it a law.

You either have a drinking problem or you have a ton of emotional issues going on. I find you should never drink and socialize when your packed full of emotions. Nothing good comes out of it.

i know it is like strawbereries to a donkey. i go to the pub very late for this reason so that you can only have a few - but then you have got to be careful not to continue with wine at home
it is easier to stay t total than have just one drink

I stopped drinking 14 years ago for that very reason.try alternating your drinks,eg,1 glass of alcohol,followed by 1 glass of water or mineral water,it might work for you.
