Be there for him. Since you can't physically be there for him, make sure you're available emotionally. Stay in contact w/ him.
Call to check on him and see how he's doing.
Also, you may want to send him something. 1800-flowers or ftd.com (somewhere that delivers internationally) has great little pick me ups for men along w / get well ideas. Make sure you try to get him something that's somewhat masculine, dont just send a bunch of flowers.
He'll know you're thinking of him and he'll appreciate it.

This sounds like a scam b/c I watched an episode of the Dr.Phil show where nigerian conartists were getting money from woman by saying we want to visit u we need money for the hospital.
Sorry to be so negative but after that show it made me wonder if internet dating would really work.
Anyway if he really is your man send him some flowers so he knows your thinking of him.

Write him beautiful letters. Save the money you'd be spending on phone calls and visit in January when the rates drop.

Well I know that if you go to a florist they will deliver internationally. Alot of them can do balloon baskets or candy baskets. It might be a nice way to cheer him up.
