I've seen many line graphs in my life; maybe up to twenty of them, but NEVER have I seen one go backwards!!! (And here I thought that was statistically impossible.) (I think I'll ask my fourth-grade friend about it. I'm sure they'll know.)

(The line graph in question is about twenty minutes into the Al-Gore's-life-show, and has TWO places in it that go ackwards. [sic])

What's he up to?

During the 1970's, earth was experiencing global cooling. The majority of "reputable scientists" attributed the cooling to man-caused pollution. Now, "reputable scienists" blame man-caused pollution for global warming. What gives?

Thanks!

What do you think is going on? I live in Northern New England. That is about 4 hours from Canada. It has not been cold out at all this winter. It spat snow once, which melted the next day. Today it was 60 degerees here and the business next door was having its roof tarred by men wearing no jackets and short sleeve shirts? Is it just me or is there something severly wrong with the weather patterns? The Jan we have had so far is like the Jan, I remember from living in CA. Southern CA. How has the weather been this winter for you? What region do you live in?

Well today in science I was given a task to create my own mini solar house. The house isn't that big, pretty small, it is probably 6inches x 2 inches x 6inches, so yeah it's pretty small. I will have water inside a beaker (5ml of water) and I need to heat it and it has to rise 5 degree Celsius in a 10min of time, and then also cool down for another 10min, so it must NOT lose any heat.; it must be insulated. It will be heated by a heat lamp. So any ideas on what kind of materials I should use inside and out? A lot of help would be appreciated, thanks.

They said that parts of rainforests the size of wales were being destroyed everyday , wales is roughly about 2,000,000 hectares. How long was this going on for ? say this went on for one year , that is 730000000 hectares which is 65.8 times the size of Cuba. What do you think , is it true or false , they'd need a big demolition squad to demolish an area in a day

Have you noticed the effects of global warming also?

With the possibility of a bird-flue pandemic within the next few years coupled with the over-use of antibiotics....with ever-more forms of highly destructive terrorism predicted....with the prospect of a starving third world taking up arms against an arrogant west....and with an ever increasing number of extreem weather events facing us (due to global warming)....is it possible that the very symptoms of the disease we have unflicted on this world, will reduce the population of the Earth to a sustainable level....even if we just carry on as we are?....(In much the same way as a virus, by attacking it's host, is itself doomed?)

Does planting a garden hedge qualify as a reduction of carbon? Everyone talks of carbon offsetting by planting trees, but these are often planted abroad. If a hedge is grown, maintained, and cared for, would it not count for more than a tree planted into possibly drought ridden land that is not managed?

I realize this statement is not true (if you're a skeptic) and I don't believe in it either but I need to prove it. I need RAW data (at least a 100 points).

Carbon Levels in ppm and GLOBAL temperature in Celcius
from the 1900 to around 2005.

Also are there any other variables I should look at to help me prove my thesis?

Thanks you.

Hey,

What are the differences between the US (the most wasteful country in the world, or so I've heard) and less wasteful countries? What modern country is the least wasteful? What can the US citizens do to be more like that country?
