Ceres (Greek Demeter) is the goddess of agriculture, but Ceres isn't a planet. It is a comet, though. Mars (Greek Aries), even though he's usually seen as the god of warfare, is also the male god of fertility, crops, and animals--the male god of agriculture. Yeah. So Mars is the planet named after the god of agriculture.

Ceres is the Roman goddess of agriculture (aka Demeter to the Greeks). The planet named after her is a dwarf planet located in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
Upon further research, I have found that some also attribute the title God of agriculture to Saturn.

According to astrology and the ancient cultures throughout the world, Mercury.
Mercury was a prolific God, and it was he who taught men the art of agriculture.
We also have Ceres, an asteroid, who is the Harvest Goddess . Its celebration is during the full moon around the middle of October.

I'm guessing it's ours? I think we'd have to do more research, but you never know what those sneaky alien bastards are up to.
