I was almost hit in face on Thursday by a fast flying Dragon Fly while in the middle of a large car showroom. Not sure who was more surprised, me or the DF?

Global Change is not a product of imagination by myself, businessmen , politicians or those believers. It is beyond reasonable doubt that it will happen. President Bush,Former President Clinton and many other government officials are now getting their acts on enviromental regulations.Bronson owner of Virgin Atlantic is now donating Billions of Dollars for enviromental cause.

Greeland Ice is melting 6 times faster than (what the experts?) calculated.Lot's of countries experiencing climate change. London where we are used to be cold at this time of the year but as they say it is summer in September.

It will be nice if their will be a website for those who understand the effects of Gobal Change. Those believers surely will have some ideas or suggestions to help lessen the destruction that will be brought about by Global Change.

Let us make some change in our attitude and save our planet.

Kind Regards to all

Dave

A recent article I read said that India and China are making monumentous steps towards using wind power, an 47% increase in India and 65% in china from their previous year. While coal is still the main form of energy for these countries, they are making big investments in alternative energy.

I am wondering if the U.S. is making any major headway in alternative energy, especially since we are one of the top countries that consume coal. Would be nice if you can also link your statistics.

Does anyone else also think that the hybrid cars on the market are only a short term solution? Should it only be considered a transitional phase to fully electrical cars?

I mean after all it is one of the most abundant resources on the earth.... shouldn't it be free of charge? Maybe that is why evian spelled backwards is naive.

My kid found a snail outside and wants to keep it for a pet. We need to know what they eat in order for it to stay alive.

This seems to be a fallacy to me. Do weather patterns have a greater influence on rainfall. I can see desertification progressing as begetation is removed, but does the rainfall decrease also?

I have just recently learned about chemosynthesis where bacteria use it to make their food and i am wondering if there is anything else that they create in addition to food? I already know about photosynthesis and plants making oxygen as well as food and that has caused me to wonder about chemosynthesis. Please answer and thanks for looking!!

I recently asked about moving from coastal regions due to rising sea levels. Some people think that sea levels will only rise by a few inches whereas I understand that it could be many metres. Has anyone any idea what is expected if say the ice on Greenland melts fully (Its melting faster by the year at present)

I don't see how changing from coal to wind and from gas to electric is going to hurt the economy, if that's your arguement.

Friend........
If any of this words relate to you, get involved.
None of us alone can make any change to what’s happening and what is the future, and there is no meaning for me to talk about things which are already been discussed all around the world.
So I will skip all the question and also don’t want to argue about why the government is not doing this and why the rich country is doing that. I have been thinking of a small and simple way of eco-transport which doesn’t use any fossil fuel what so ever. I will try to be brief and express my views about it in brief points.

India 1/6th of the earths population.
Mega Metro Cities like Bombay & Delhi.
One of the most polluted cities in the world.
Transportation is the key factor for the economy of every city.
Public transport like trains, bus, taxis, rickshaw cabs & Bicycle.
