From what I understand from my 9th grade science, the law of conservation means that energy cannot be created, or destroyed, but can be converted in to Gravitational Potential Energy ( GPE ) and Kinetic Energy ( KE ). Well that energy had to come from somewhere, right?, but here on our little planet called Earth, when people have sex and are succesful, making a baby, isn't that making energy? I argue the chemical energy answer I recieved, but I always here from new parents,
" my boy is just a bundle of energy" So, do I have a reasonable argument?

Government officials are constantly quoted in newspapers as saying "whaling is a cherished part of our cultural tradition".

What, because if they stopped whaling Japan's entire cultural identity would crumble?

I think not.

But I'd like to know what Japanese people (hope some of you are here to answer this) think. It's an issue I feel very strongly about. As David Attenborough said, "there is no humane way to kill a whale at sea".

I was told there was a website that I could use, input the make and model number of my refrigerator to get the average annual cost of useage - my refrigerator is at least 10 years old (bought used 8 years ago) and I want to see if replacing it with a new one is cost justified.

I was on this game, -not going to say the game- and in a room (kinda like a forum) there are some people who doing something called 'cybering' I knew a bit about it but didn't get what people accually did.. I knew it was gross and sick but I just wondered what they did. I made a fake account and went into the room where pretty much some guy acted out 'doing it' to other people and me. I just said nothing really and he just went away. I was pretty grossed out and finally he had to go. I feel guilty now for ever being there and now Im pretty discusted that there are people in the world who do that. >_< I dont know really what to think now and I'm kind of in shock I read all this.

They claim that when gas costs around $3/gallon, that people start to reduce the amount of driving that they do. Do you think this is true? Have you been trying to reduce your driving since gas hit $3???

Me, I've been trying to reduce my driving ever since gas hit $2!!! However, I haven't reduced it much, I still have to go to work and things like that.

I just saw a news report on how Japan is fished the blue fin tuna to almost extinction. The report said that blue fin tuna is as important to Japan as cattle are to the US.
In the US we raise and feed the cattle.
So why doesn't Japan start raising tuna? Instead of just stealing them from the ocean? shouldn't the free ride end some time? Or is it better to let Japan just kill of the blue fin tuna forever?

I live in Youngstown, OH. My waterbill is between $85 - 100 per month. No trash added. I called and they analized my usage and said that is normal for a family of four. I think it's high. I have lived in other parts of the country and have never paid this much.
